no la, i leave home at 7:30 for my 8:00 work. my 99 won't be up till 9:00 or even 9:30. get herself dress up and ready within an hour.. so only have dim sum with my husband..
yes, dim sum everyday, so far 7 days a week (without a break) .. since she came on Jan 4..
I also live in Markham, I always look at BK since last 2005. I have one 20 month boy. Does anyone has any information regarding the Montessori pre-school.
Please give me some advise?? Thanks!!
My daughter is 30 months soon. I am putting her in a Montessori Casa class on Woodbine and major Mac.
Where do you live in Markham? you know, Markham is quite big. MindTech on Woodbine and 16th Ave accept 18 months and up, Unionville Montessori on Kennedy and 16th Ave accepts 2 years old and up. You can also check Town Centre Montessori on Kennedy and 14th.
I got good comment on Unionville Montessori. My friend's son is in the Pre-Casa program (2 years old). It isn't in the main campus but the church basement a little north of the main campus. $495 per month for 5 half day. You can visit them to get a package. They raise the price every year.
I also know someone went to Town Centre. The after school hour is until 6:30PM, so it gives you flexible time. The only negative comment my friend made was the teachers are not all naive English speaking.
the main campus of UMS is right on 16th Ave and Kennedy.
I think really depends on what teacher you get. One of my friends is pulling her son out of UMS because she thinks her son doesn't learn much. She is a Montessori teacher herself.
Anyway, thank you very much for your help!! I agree with you.
I think I ask too much question.
How about your daughter, it's she like to go to school everday.
No problem. School visit is very important because it will give you an impression if you like it or not. Everyone has different expectations, right?
no, my daughter hasn't started school yet. The school she is going to is a brand new school and they are still doing the renovation. I am waiting for their call to let me know when they will start.
Right now she is staying home with grandparents. I am sure she really wanna go to school.
I c, right now I only visit one school which is Town Center. For my first impression the school wasn't so bad.
I think I will start to visit some more school around my location so I can make any decision afterward.
But the problem for the Town center they need the child have toile train. I still haven't start my toile train with my child yet.
Hopelly he will co-operate with me when I start to toile train with him.
Any good way to can teach me how to do it. Thanks!!
Mindtech and UMS doesn't need the child toilet trained.
My daughter is also in the process of being trained. Do you think your son is ready for training? I basically let my daughter wear underwear, so let her wet and take her to washroom every hour and check if she can go.
So far, she can hold pee until I bring her to washroom. Sometimes she will tell me she needs to go, and sometimes she forgets.
Where is Mindtech??
I have another problem see if any mom can help.
My son now 20 month & still drining formula. I try to give him 2% he doesn't want to drink??
I think homo is better than 2% milk. Actually young kids also need some fat, and homo have rich milk taste, but 2% like water. My daughter also doesn't like 2% milk. You can try give homo milk to your child.
Yes, I did try the homo milk for him but he doesn't like either.
I have try to mix formula with the homo, it cause him diarrhoea.
The problem is he's a heavy baby, that why I want to change homo or 2% instead of formula.
I went to the Winterlicious during the weekend.
I finally went to "Truffles" inside the 4 seasons hotel.
But it is a bit disappointing that, we have to wait more
than 1.5 hr to be seated (We have booked in advance). Although this Winterlicious is delivered as a discounted price, I think they still should maintain their quality and service. And when we were seated, there were still croweded of people waiting outside. It was 9:00pm already. I saw they handed out wine to serve the people outside as a compensation.
And the waiting time is long for the food too. Whe we finished, it was already mid-night!!!
For the food, the soup is fine, the dessert is good too. But the main dish is a bit disappointing. It is not bad but not particularly good. I mean very ordinary. And not neatly served too.
In general, I think it is not too good.
I think if they do not want to lower the price, they can just don't join the Winterlicious, if they join, I think they should maintain the standard ond the service.
i never try the winterdelicious, but my ex-landlord told me one time, that some of the restaurant lower that standard in order to fit for the adjsuted price...
the portion may be less, the food qauality may not be as good as you pay the regular price..
Yeah, I heard of that too. But I think it is really unwise to do so, as people won't go there when they come across special ocassion.
Poohpoohmama
I guess I will not go to any other Winterlicious resturtant this year. But this bad experience will not stop me to going to some other next year (if they still host it!) :)
