For the mandarin playgroup, you may try Little Dynamics.
Got a few good feedback for their mandarin playgroups from friends.
Didn't try myself.

I think there's another place call Bejing Mandarin or Mandarin Bejing at Admiralty opposite the Pacific Place 3. Heard that it's good too.

My husband also speaks to Tasha in Mandarin, although it's not pure Beijing Mandarin. Now she can also express some words in Mandarin, esp. when she's with her father.

Thanks for your info. Will check on the Little Dynamic.

For the Beijing Mandarin, it should be the one I found in the Far East xx Centre, but I think the fee is quite expensive and the place is not so convenient.

However, my China's colleagues said that Beijing's Mandarin is not the best as they "roll" tongue too much and their Mandarin is comparatively hard to understand (even for the people who's native language is Mandarin)

That's good the Tasha's Dad said Mandarin to her, as I am not very good at it, therefore don't want her to learn it from me.

Yes, I'm employing a private mandarin teacher to play with holman for almost 5 months. However, I'm thinking about to quit as it doesn't help much.

For betterchinese.com, I've ordered the following set:

my first chinese words in traditional chinese

This set contains of 36 books + 1cd. This set is on sale at "Stepping Stone" (HK$258.30) until end of this month (ie today). Stepping Stone is also at CWB. It's at 1 Hysan Road, 3/F.

Besides, there is playgroup in HK betterchinese office (at CWB, 111 Leighton Road, 5/F) and cost ~$160 per lesson. I wonder I will join this later.

Hope this information can help~

The set sell at website (better chinese) is US50 or HK$400. They have promotion in August (sell at $389, something like that). But if you join the member ship (net cost of all products you bought >$800 ==> free to join), it will cost $340/set.

There is no building name for Stepping Stone (ie 1 Hysan Road) but the entrance is just next to Starbuck.

上兒 is so cute! Although Charlotte can talked a lot, but she never can explain so detail as 上兒 (i.e.唔講得because 媽媽鬧 <= so great!. :mrgreen: )
