因為依家d機票貴到飛起~

it's great that your older boy is in school for full day.. he must love it a lot right?
no, i didn't get ian a walker. research says that it's not good for babies. anyway.. i am so lucky that ian is willing to play w himself in the playpan when i am cooking. sometimes i put him in his playset station. he is ok if it's only for a few minutes. now he can walk a lot better, so i just let him to walk around. he starts talking a few words, like 行行﹑包包﹑HA-YO(hello) besides mama, baba and mummum.. it's so funny seeing him walking w a big smile on his face! very 招積

you are lucky, your baby play himself, can walk.... my baby climb stairs, up and down my sleep bed.. walk really lazy too much,

! him too bed I think him dec befor can walk. my big son like go to school so much, alway say go to school

now it's a big battle bringing both of them out by myself cus ian always wanna get down and walking on the floor..
like today, i brought them to target, it took me 2 hrs to get what i wanted(only their swimming pants and some tops...) luckily ryan is now behaving a lot better when we go out. this boy is getting more mature since he started school. he would tell me rule #1, no runnings. rule #2 always follow mami and dadi, etc.... i am so 老懷安慰

at least dont have to chase him around like a crazy woman!
he has started summer class for a month, all the kids in his class are older then him, i know he got bully in school, there's an older boy in his class who always bully other kids. he always tells me he doesn't like him and doesn't like playing with him. 佢進步左好多呀﹐識寫灑大小草同串自己個名﹐但介片仍在進行中﹐係屋企唔肯自動去PEEPEE﹐有時叫都唔肯﹐只肯係學校去.. 頭痛ing.. 唯有慢慢黎啦..

I haven't catch up with this topic in the forum for a long time... Congratulation muimui313!

I called the USCIS toll free number 2 weeks ago. Eventually I got lucky and talked to the right person. They are filing a service request for me and will follow up on my petition. Hopefully I will get the permanent gc soon la.

I haven't back to HK for 10 years... hehe... (longer than you). I may go back next month or so (not confirm yet). I will need to get the new HKID and the "wu heung ching" for going to China.

I wonder who has more information regarding applying the HK residency or alike for my son? When my son was borned, I have a valid H-1B working visa (bb's dad was US citizen already at the time). I wonder what kind of traval doc or ID that I can apply for my son... just in case he may needs it in the future. It would be nice if he can get the "wu heung ching" because getting the China visa is so mah farn and expensive too.

Carrie, what is bb id in hk? I am so out... I haven't heard of bb id tim! :D

I see. Thanks! :) The SF Chinese embassy asked us to bring the plane ticket there first before we can apply the visa to travel to China ... mah farn.. need to get the ticket and then go there again.

from my understanding, since your son was born at the time you were holding H1-B visa, you can apply verification of permanent residence in HK for your son ... if that's approved, then your son can apply HKIC and HKSAR passport (if u want) ...

children in HK normally apply HKIC when they reach 11, but if children have to apply get HKSAR passport, they need to have HKIC ... so for children under 11 and need to apply HKSAR passport, Immigration Dept will do both things at the same time ... so that's why some children will have HKIC before they are 11

Have you talked to the teachers in daycare? If they can faciliate to have your son stay in the lower grade until he can be fully trained before he moves to another class, that would be perfect.

I have the same situation for Spencer. After training him for a while, he's still not really to go preschool which requires him to be fully potty trained; no diaper, no pull-up, he needs to be able to go to toilet on his own, no butt wiping by the teacher, he also needs to pull his pants back and wash his hands. Spencer is not really but he really improved a lot. At least, he will tell us he's need to pee or need to have diaper changed. But, still, he cannot hold it long enough for us to take him to toilet. So, most of the times, I need to wipe the floor and change his pants.

I and my husband made a decision to call the preschool and delay his entry. We believe that he will be ready to go next year. Although I'm sorry that Spencer needs to wait another year, I'm sort of relieved that all of us can do it without any pressure now.

sigh ... we have the same issue - we'll be commuting 16 miles each way to school. hopefully the traffic won't be that bad la!

yup, SY_mom,
DOE will provide free metro pass. Ying EE will send Amanda to school every day by express bus then transit to local bus direct to the entance at school. and at afternoon, she will stay afterschool, after my work, I will go to pick up Amanda.
I will send Gabriel to daycare in the morning (open 7am-7pm). on the way back, I will also pick up Gabriel. or Ying EE may pick him up at the mid day (as at the begining is only half day for toddler to get used to day care).
I wish that will work out. I told my boss that .. from now on, I don't do evening visit to patients' home as I need to pick up Amanda. and they all agree.
