melvinma,
thanks for your information again.
Venus,
Hope we both enjoy our holidays in Sing! I think I'll visit the night safari too, but I didn't plan my schedule yet.
Thanks all the moms, especially Melvinma, Summama and Babyjerry, providing information about travelling in Singapore. My hubby, my son and I enjoyed our stay in Singapore very much (11- 17 May).
Day 1: Arrived Singapore at around 6:00 p.m. Dinner at Lau Pa Sat. It was difficult to choose what to eat, too much choice. Quite hot.
Day 2: Zoo. Dinner at Meritus Mandarin Hotel to try the chicken rice.
Day 3: Merlion Park and then Sentosa. We found so many peacocks in Sentosa. We could find them in the restaurant, the beach......
Day 4: Discovery Centre and Night Safari. From my point of view, Night Safari is worth to go.
Day 5: We tried the Singaporean Style Breakfast at "Ya Kun". The toast with Kaya was really yummy. Then, we visited the China Town and bought souveniors. Afternoon, swimming in the pool. Dinner: Clarke Quay. We tried the expensive but delicious chilli crab.
Day 6: Joined the sunday service of local church.
Lunch: Snoppy Land. Then: shopping at Orchard Road. Dinner: Clarke Quay again. We ate a lot of satay this time.
Day 7: Back to Hong Kong :-(
We loved M Hotel. We would like to thank Melvinma once again for her recommendation. It was very easy to take a taxi from M Hotel, because there was a taxi stand just outside M Hotel. It was easy to go to the MRT station, a few minutes walk only.
Bus in Singapore, not too good. We tried two times, there was no air-condition for the bus!
My family and I moved to Singapore about 1-1/2 months. Everything is fine, except I have to take some time to adjust myself to the frozen fishes and chickens here.
Do you have any comment on :
1. Where could I buy the live fish (most of them are forzen) ? Wet market ? (The wet market opens very early. I used to go there at 10am, but it seems that everything is gone.)
2. Where can I buy "ork neck meat" ? I cannot find it in Coldstorge, Carriefour or other supermarkets. It's easy to buy from ParkNshop in Hong Kong.
3. Is the sales in late May/June a real big sales in Singapore ? I saw that Robinsons and some other department stores are on sales now.
