possible solutions now:
1. part-time maids, $120/day, who usually have civil cases, an excuse to stay in HK longer in order to find new bosses. Observed from my former students. Generally they are OK, hoping you will be the potential boss.
2. arrangement with your old maid: she can stay until she finds a new boss and you have found a new maid. In between, she can go out to for interview and you can give her a good reference. Once offered to my former maid, but she chose to leave early and had only 14 days to find new bosses.
3. hire part-time local to do heavy and dirty jobs before new maid comes. Of course, you cannot expect the house is as clean and neat as before. Maybe by the time, the new maid comes, you are already a pro pro pro Ah 4.
