Hi, every mami,

I have very serious flu in these few days + sore throat. But my private doctor didn't give me any medicine cos he said it's dangerous to have anti-biotics when baby is still small.... So I can only clean my mouth by salted water and sleep more.... Still very painful.

So every one of you should take care about yourself...

我12周時個b都係得5cm, 到13周時就有6.6cm, 14周零5日時有7.6cm, 問醫生是否ok, 醫生話正常, 所以你唔使担心.

至於可否唔抽羊水, 由於我係高齡產婦, 醫生建議最好抽啦, 不過由於我有子宮肌"lau", 而個位置可能影響抽羊水, 所以有d担心.

over 35 yrs 就要抽胎水 . 因為懷有唐氏綜合症的機會會比較高.

唐氏綜合症BB 與母親年齡的關係：

30 歲 - 34 歲 700 分之 1
35 歲 - 39 歲 250 分之 1

我醫生話早d抽好d. 因為可以早d知道結果. 其實最好是抽絨毛 (around 12week 做) 1,2 天有 resulｔ　如有問題個胎同還細．　不用生產出來．　可以ｘ宮．　但抽胎水個ｂｂ都有　１６　ｗｅｅｋ　加埋要等ｒｅｓｕｌｔ　都要幾耐．　如有事就要生佢出來．　醫生話抽絨毛小產機會大少少．　最後我決定抽胎水，　我係在私家抽．　我會就番自己ｄ　ｓｃｈｅｄｕｌｅ　放假．我估休息兩天都夠掛．

原本醫生安排我係13周先做oscar test, 知道result 後才決定是否做抽羊水, 但由於我係11周曾作小產, 而且係13周做oscar test 時醫生話我曾經流血個陰影部份比較大, 要小心d, 咪好易再有事. 雖然度bb頸皮厚度時, 醫生話正常, 但亦建議最好抽羊水. 而我而家又作小產, 所以亦唔可以咁早抽. 請問oscar test 係咪即係抽絨毛呀?

我都係有作小產見紅. 流了10 多天. 食藥打針. 一星期就停左沒有再流. oscar test 最主要是驗血和度頸皮. 不是抽絨毛
OSCAR 會計埋孕婦D 年齡. 如果您OVER 35 抽胎水會準碓D. 我度了頸皮. 都係正常. 孕婦抽血和以超聲波量度胎兒頸皮，相對風險會較低，但結果可能會有偏差。

抽絨毛是抽胎盤組織 - 1%病例可發生流產
抽胎水是抽胎兒的尿液 - 0.5%病例可發生流產

兩者都可以驗出BB有無異常. 100%準確診斷唐氏綜合症也能檢測性染色體和其他染色體異常

唔該晒你d資料:) 我今次作小產, 看咗醫生食咗藥後就暫時無再流, 但就要靜養, 唔番得工. 我打算下星期覆診時, 再問醫生我幾時做抽羊水比較安全d至決定.

產前運動係好有幫助. 好多醫院都有這些講座. 也鼓勵先生一同參與. 至於唔過預產期就..... 其實一切順其自然. 如果過左40 week 未生. 醫生係會考慮催生. 所以不用太擔心. bb 一日冇動靜要出來. 您都沒有方法迫bb. 除非過左預產期很久. 後尾就生時產檢一般時 1 or 2 week 一次. 醫生會照下胎盤有否提早老化, 是否需要催生.....etc.

我大仔係比預產期早左成 3 week. 所以一切順期自然吧. 只要您仍然感覺到bb 有 move (胎動) 就ok. 我有d朋友到就生時見過肚不move 都會好緊張打電話給醫生. 我記得好似話要數住一日 move 幾多次.

Just want to ask -- Who has already extracted the "Water" from tummy? Was it painful? If I have to do this, what shall I prepare in advance? Shall I need to stay home to rest afterward? Since I'm so worry about that..... Sorry about the silly question... But I really want to know...

Also, since I've almost decided to give my 2nd birth by C-section, then does this mean I can cancel all the exercise class all through the pregnancy? (I was forced to have c-section for my 1st baby, then I want to have c-section again)..... :cry:

I haven't done this before. But my friend told me it was not too painful. Just feel like having a pin punching into your tummy lor.

And the doctor will monitor with ultra sound scan. Her baby was very active and tried to touch the pin when the pin is getting in. So lovely.

But she ask her doctor to give her reference letter so that she can do it in Tsan Yuk and it just costed her $75.

But I have heard there will be 1-2% of miscarriage risk. But don't worry. My friend was fine and I am sure you will be fine too.

Not too useful for me. I have bought it from MotherWorld but found it very troublesome in my last pregnancy. So, I end up not using it. I felt very hot and itchy (even it was winter).
But some of my friends found it very useful and supportive and help to relieve their back pain.

I think it really depends whether your tummy is big and heavy or not. If you want to buy it, I suggest you go to the shop when you are at least 5-6 months pregnant and ask them to let you wear it and feel it yourself. There are different styles.

Don't buy it so early and you cannot try it on and feel it.

Thanks sooo much for your words... I will do that at the beginning of September at Tsan-yuk also... I think I'm not only worry about the procedure, but also worry about the few days of rest afterwards, that may make my boss very angry (Well, that uses to be one of the big factors that I usually worry about..What a pressure of working mother...) :cry:

worry about the few days of rest afterwards

Hey katmami,

I have phoned up my friend. She said she and her friend as well did not need to take much rest after the amnioxxx (do i spell it right?) She went to yum cha after the test and no day off from work after that.

The doctor asked her to take a short rest (say, half an hour) and then can resume normal work or activities if no special reaction afterwards. My feeling is that just like short rest after blood donation.

So, don't worry. You may not need to take leave from work after that. But of course you need to pay attention to your condition after the test.
