It is really diffcult to live without a car anywhere in Canada...
I just hated it when I needed to take a bus to and from the University and take the C-Train to shopping mall. But it was the first accident that I have ever encountered... really scarely!!!!!
Calgary (when I lived there), the weather is much better. Most of time, we have chinook in the winter and no need to wear the down jacket... which is totally different from Edmonton or Red Deer (I spent some times there, too)!
