we just went to Wasabi for lunch on Saturday. No reservation is needed.
not sure what kind of allergy, since she is like that after going to supermarket, I suspect she touches something dirty there and touches her eye. She is okay now after taking 3 days of medicine.
We only have the hamlet and gloves for her. I guess we need to get the knee pad as well.
ckkcwl,
is your hubby coming to Toronto to have CNY with you gals?
I am very busy at work recently, so no time to visit BK. Also too many things happened in our family and among our relatives. I really hope we will have a peaceful year.
not ready for CNY yet. i will take a day off on 2/16, as having dinner at mom's home - helping out on the preparing dinner. also still thinking if i will make the "law pak go" or not.
my husband will be here on 2/24, stay for about a week. then goes to boston for meeting.
hope everything will be settle within your family and relatives before CNY
we bought some of the food for CNY, like the mushroom, dry scallop, "sea-weed" (the hair veggie) etc. as 99 is in town, need to cook at home lor
weekend might go to the bank for exchange the new bill for her to prepare the "lucky money"...
poohpoohmama, yes la, take it easy, hope everything is fine for your family and relative...

doggie
yes my girls are doing the preparation la. they had taken all the gifts that they made for dad during last year (e.g. father's day, x'mas, birthday etc.). they put all these in box and will give to him every time seeing him kar. they told me not to tell them which day he is coming - - - want to have a surprise. but keep on asking me for hints.
are you planning to buy a new car? one of the bk mom's husband working in markville toyota... may be you could try him..
how you wish to invest your RSP? last year, i invested my RSP to your company's fund.. not making any money. Any drop of penny speed up my heart beat, so just thinking to go something with low risk...
which bank offer good GIC rate???
I knew how you feel about lossing a relative. for the past 3 months, I lost 3 friends - one in each month. they are not old - all at the 40+.
but life is like that. it may be good for them to release from any pain and illness that had been suffered.
god may just assign a new task for them to do.. we will just have to let go with it.
thanks god - we are all healthy - got a shelter to live in, food to eat. work to do.. so I won't complain
We want to get an used car. Too expensive to get a new one; also my hubby said he is confident enough to fix an used one. (I am not sure about that). Please PM me who is the BK mom. I can ask her to see if there is any used car in the dealer.
sorry to know that you are losing your investment with our funds. I am only buying some convservative investments. I'll email you which one I buy. So far, my investments are doing okay, except the Labour Sponsored Funds which is higher risk, and I also got the tax benefit from it.
I may buy the GIC or RRSP eligible saving account with PC Financial. The rate is 4% for the Saving Plus account.
sorry about your loss. My relative was already 90 something, but the doctor wasn't willing to save her when she suffered a stroke in Montreal. They just let her die. Terrible!!
you can try this site to look for used cars.
We always check this site to locate the car we want and then negotiate with the dealers. We always get good deals by doing so.
I am also sorry to hear about your relatives. I have seen a lot of old people passed away in the past few years. It is very sad to see them go but at the same time happy to see them being freed from the physical sufferings....
I have been going to Autotrader to get some idea for the pricing. But I wonder if I can find a reliable dealer. Would car dealer usually charge more? Are they honest enough to tell you if the car has had accident before?
My hubby and father knows a little on checking the engine and able to detect if there may be a significant difference in parts to determine whether a major parts replacement. But still sometimes get a chance to get a "lemon" car.
A car dealer at one point taught me how to tell if the car had any major accident by touching the inner edge of the panels, doors. If the paint is smooth, then it probably is fine, but if the paint is rough, that means the car has been "repainted" and probably had an accident before.
One trick to buy a used car, is to go to a dealer, but get a different brand car. Say, you go to Honda, but get a Toyota used car. These cars are usually traded-in. As they are different brands, the car dealers are usually eager to get rid of them. If you go to Honda and get a Honda, they may be more expensive as they may have auctioned it from the wholesaler. But the PLUS is that if it is the same brand, they can easily show you the history of the car, if it is only 3-4 years old.
Don't go to those used car dealers which has no names. They are there to make profits, so not reliable at all.
We usually go the on the internet to see if the car is a lemon. Here is the site:

hope everyone is o.k. from the snow storm - take me an hour to go to work.. but office so quiet. everyone claimed to be working from home.
may be I should apply the signon and start working from home too....
it took me 45 min to drive to office, normal less than 10 min. is the snow storm heavier in north (markham), my sister called me early morning asking if school close (very heavy snow at her area); and it just begin to snow in scarborough at that time. one of my co-worker bring her daughter to office today as no school for her; no one to take care of her for the day
he he... I have an ultrasound appointment this morning, so I didn't go to work early. I was a little late for the appointment. The traffic wasn't that bad as we took the carpool lane.
My hubby needs to work OT today because it gonna be busy for them.
The technican says it will be a boy (100%) and it's around 1.5 kg.
