1) 如果你 and your husband already are OZ PR, i DONT think your baby can get the HK 3 star ID, because what we heard from HK immigration was THE MOMENT when that baby born, baby's father/mother must be still Chinese, if either of parents already OZ citizen or OZ PR, baby is not qualified to apply HK 3 star ID
2) i have no idea
3) I dont know will your baby get the HK 3 star ID, From my friend's experience, she had Indonesia passport, and has been stay in HK more than 7 years, when she apply HK 3 star ID, she was asked to forgo her Indonesia passport
4) I have no idea, 你可以去問下中國領事館, 因為佢地都會代辦香港特區passport
p.s. 我從HK immigration and 中國領事館都了解到, 可以好肯定既係HK immigration and 中國政府要首先考慮父/母在baby出世既個一刻, 是否已經係別國既citizen or pr
好似我地咁, 因為卓宜出世既個一刻, 阿傑仲未係OZ pr, 所以可以apply 居留權, 但因為我係citizen, and Cherry was born in OZ, therefore Cherry is an Australian, she is not qualified to apply HK 3 star ID, 中國領事館比我地既answer係如果cherry want the HK ID, 佢必須放棄澳洲國籍
When we were back in HK last year, I went to apply the Right of Abode (ROA) for Devlin. My brother works in the Immigration Dept and when he went through my documents, he said I was very lucky with the timing as I was still a Temporary Resident when Devlin was born. I only got the PR status two months later. He said if I were already a PR, Devlin wouldn't be entitled to the ROA.
Right now, Devlin has a stamp on his passport indicating that he has the ROA. When he turns 11, he can go back to HK to apply for the ID card.
Chinese Govt does not recognize dual nationality. If, in the future, Devlin decides to appliy for the HKSAR passport, he will have to give up his Australian citizenship.
The 3 stars mean that the holder of the ID card is over 18 years of age and is eligible for the HK re-entry permit.
Like 卓宜媽媽 said, the best way is to check with HK Immigration Dept.
Just wanted to make sure you are aware of the documents you need to present when you apply for the Medicare Card. You need to provide 2 residency proof ... click.
No hospital will turn you away when you need their service. You just have to pay for it if you don't have the Medicare Card.
I already called HK immigration department and got the answer that as we are OZ PR, they treat us not as "中國公民", so if my baby born in OZ, I must apply a so call "Dependent" visa for her to stay in HK. After living in HK for 7 years, she can get the ROA and stamp on my baby OZ passport until 11 years old.
