Tom Lee:
a) enable children to acquire a sense of pitch as well as the ability to identify sounds
b) three basic elements of music: rhythm, melody and harmony through hearing, singing and playing.
(i) hearing: learn the songs in words through listening to teacher in class, CD at home, watching DVD at home
(ii) singing: sing (in Do, Re, Mi) by watching teacher vocal
(iii) playing: practice with piano during lesson for songs learning in lesson (part by part) and at home as well if piano is available
c) emphasizes on enhancing children's imagination and creativity
d) do workbook after lesson
It requires parent's participation and teaching children at home for practice and revision
Yip's:
1) teach basic music knowledge such as Do, Re, Mi, high tone and low tone, musical notation
2) sing songs
3) practice music knowledge with worksheets
4) do artwork (for 2 hrs session only)
5) introduce musicians by watching video and listening to their famous songs
Sorry for less detail in Yip's class as no attendance by parent. If you (parent) have little knowledge with music and really enjoy to learn as well, Tom Lee will be preferable. Otherwise, Yip's is better as no need for parent to follow up after lesson.
Both Music Wonderland and Junior Music Course have 教音符呀之類. Please confirm with your friends for which class she attend. Details of Music Wonderland content, you may ask Tingfai for more if she attend lesson with Hei Hei.
