IB students don't need to take HK public exam. If you want to study oversea, you'll need to take SAT or Toefel. I think you can still apply HK universities but they may treat you as oversea student. ...
I don't know if I will let Zachary study overseas. If depends on his will and also his acedamic result. If he is good enough to study in HK (top one), then of course, I want him to study at HK to accompany us.
Thus, I do want him to attend the HK public exam. In this case, IB may not be suitable for my case.
I don't know......
One of my friend who have quited her permanent full-time job has been appointed by Poly and City as part-time lecturer....it is around HK$1,000 / hour (but she turned down finally as she found another full time job with even higher pay)
Given you teach 6 hours / week (2 night with 3 hours each), it will be HK$24,000. You can also apply as tutor from open University, assume that you teach 2 subjects at a time (maximum that allow by OU), you will got another $10,000 (including tutorial and marking assignment).
Salary is less but you will have more time to spend with your family.
Of course, I don't intend to quit my job and change the field. This is just act as back-up.
My company is undergoing restructuring...my boss will move to other dept..there may be some changes in my branch, too......
