Hi all mammy,
we are also back from UK last week. Wow, it was very crowded everywhere we went, from Birmingham down to London. We even had to queue up for 30 mins before going into the dinasour section of the Natural History Museum in London......also queues more than 1 hour for most attractions at Legoland......but all in all it was enjoyable holiday for us, the kids love everywhere we went, except the National Gallery. I also had no time to shop :( but we did went to Westfield, huge shopping center, but we just looked at kids stuff, and we bought lots of books. I think the best deal was the oyster card in London, we bought 7 days zone1-2 traveller card and we just hopped on and off buses whenever the route suited us and took tubes everywhere, even in and out of Heathrow, a real bargain.

I had a new experience in this trip, we went to a self served supermarket, it's like going to the patrol station, you fill in the gas and just pay at the counter. In this supermarket, you played a cashier's role, scan the product, put them in bag and pay through a machine all by yourself. It's kind of fun and convenience especially you don't have to wait in long queue (you can imagine people there shop once a week and their trolley is full and pack), but one has to be very discipline to scan all products you buy and PAY.

Well they told us the one we reserved was not available anymore so they suggested us to upgrade and we accepted with no choice. Other than that, we were quite satisfied with the car and the GPS system. So I don't think we will do anything la.
This looked fun, I bet my boys would love to go there as well. Actually one of their favourite parts in this trip was feeding the pigeons by the port at Portsmouth. I think for city grown kids, natural scenery and animals are something that interested them. For my 2 boys, they had brought the NDS along but glad that they did not spend much time on it, they rather enjoy touring around than just play games.
