Who can be the witness of the new employment contract? I am the employer, can the witness be my husband or grandmother ?

The standard "letter of Guarantee" shown a line mentioned about the helper's home address and phone number.
But my helper does not have phone at her home in indonesia? Do you think I can delete this line ?

For applying contract renewal at indonesia consulate, is it necessary to go for twice that 1st visit for applying an interview. While at the 2nd visit, the employer and employee will go together to attend the interview. My helper need to extend her passport also, can she do it at the 1st or 2nd visit or some other days ?

- Yes.

- Either enter some "---" there or write "N/A".

You should ask your maid to renew her passport first.
Actually I think your maid has to go to Indo Consulate 3 to 4 times.
1st time : submit application for passport renewal
2nd time (~14 days later) : collect new passport, then submit contract renewal documents. I think the Indo Consulate staff may even let you and your maid attend the "appointment" on this day. Maybe your maid can ask on 1st time she goes to Indo Consulate, whether this can be done.
3rd time : maid and employer attend appointment with Indo Consulate staff.
4th time : maid collect "new" contract and returned documents.

- Yes. HK Imm Dept allows them to defer their home leave for a max of 1 year from date of contract renewal. (There is a box to tick, in the Imm Dept form which employer needs to complete.)

2)我都想自己攪續期? 但我見唔到你個list點做?同幾多$$??可否pm我?
- Please read through from Page 1. (Not too many pages, and you will know what to do after reading.) This topic is already a crash course on contract renewal without going through an agent, cannot be shortened further.

3)印尼領事管係邊嫁?
- In Causeway Bay, v near St. Paul's Convent Nursery.

所需費用, 亦已詳列.

至於是否比經agent平,
則要看你位agent收幾多.

之前我致電問cathay pacific, 他們說印傭的asia miles 只能給乘客, 不能給顧主. 你是否有其他方法可以取得印傭的miles? 是否through travel agent?

因為我要遷就自己的年假, 可否提早兩個多月辦理續約, 咁她就可以放假? 定係放完假才續約?

IM form, 工人的witness, 是否可以我叫家人簽?

我已經係website到搵到 "working contract renewal procedures without agency with the same employer"既英文及印尼文版, 但我有d問題, 麻煩你幫幫忙:
1) 我工人visa到期日21/3/08
2) 我工人passport到期日14/10/08
3)但contract date is 23/1/06
4)呢兩年我轉過地址, 但我一直都有update 人民入境事務處

問題:

1) 我應該幾時先開始renewal? 定係20/2/08先開始 (one month before the visa expiry)??
2) 係咪而家就叫印印爸爸整戶籍紙?
3) 當集齊文件,係咪先去印尼領事館預約interview, 然後interview後才去人民入境事務處交new contract?仲有身分證係咪都要renew??

Ans. = 將letter of guarantee 所需提及的十幾個points抄寫一遍.
另外我從印尼領事館取得一set 印尼文+英文的, 有關自行續約所需文件+ 英文的letter of guarantee 內容. 請pm 你的fax no. 給我. 印尼文那部份你給印印看.

Q 是否每次續約都要換ID card and visa?
Ans. 不用每次換hk id card. Hk id card 由始至終是同一張. (約2年前, 入境處曾統一外佣的hk id card no., 當時要從新做過一張.)

Q 因為工人的爸爸去年離世, 若要印尼那封信, 是否要證明的爸爸去世呢?
Ans. 問你個印印, 她家的戶主是誰 ?
(如已婚, =老公. 如未婚, = 父親)

Ans. 你誤會了 : 當時(2006年4-5月)國泰做promotion, 替外佣買機票的顧主可得2000分.

Ans. 應該辦完續約手續才放假.
你個case, 不可提早2個月續約. 印尼領事館只接受辦理一個月內完約的contract. 但印印可以延期放假, 最多可以延期1年.
例如佢今個約於4月30日約滿, 你可於3月31日-4月23日內去印尼領事館交新約及所有文件 (當然最好4月頭去, 有乜野文件遺忘仍有時間補救. )約見職員後約4-5工作天便可取回. 取回當天即去入境處辦理visa, 約2小時辦妥.

Q. IM form, 工人的witness, 是否可以我叫家人簽?
Ans. Yes.

Ans. 23Jan06 = 簽約日期.
visa到期日21/3/08 = 印印入hk境+2年
==> 印印 = 21-3-08約滿, ==>最早22-2-08 去印0尼領事館交續約文件.

而因為印印passport 14-10-08 到期,
佢續約後個visa只會簽到14-10-08 (或7日前),
即使你申請defer leave 1年都係咁話,
因為visa日期必定不會在passport expire之後.

你個印印其實可以先於1月中至2月中左右去印尼領事館換新passport (約2weeks有取), 計好日子她去取回新passport 當日交自行續約文件, 然後一路用新passport 辦續約. 最慳時間. 你自己計下數喇.

**New passport + Old passport 會2本釘埋一齊.

Q2) 係咪而家就叫印印爸爸整戶籍紙?
Ans. yes

Q3) 當集齊文件,係咪先去印尼領事館預約interview, 然後interview後才去人民入境事務處交new contract?
Ans. yes, 印尼領事館會在新約上蓋印核實. 入境處不會處理未蓋印的新約.

仲有身分證係咪都要renew??
no.

想請你飲多杯, 我又有問題, 我個約last day在2-2-2008....想問是否可以在31/1去印尼領事館交form及預約3-2-2008見領事呢? 剛剛在完約前一個月可以嗎, 因為3-2-2008當天才方便安排家人看著囡囡, 自己和印印去見領事, 兩小時可以見完嗎?

另外, 我見你叫印印去交文件及做預約, 是否一定要印印去呢, 我自己或婆婆可以嗎, 因為婆婆有其他事去開附近順便代勞......
