I also really want Hoyin to be able to speak at least Cantonese.
I tell my hubby that I have decided to go back to HK every year so the kids will learn Cantonese & love HK.
He says that he wouldnt come with us as he doesnt like HK.
I tell him off and say that I will take the kids by myself (he was so angry)!!!
However, he needs to work hard to earn more money for us to go back (hee...).
I think NZ is having more and more chinese immigrants so we have more chinese restaurants, video shops, supermarkets & schools.
It's a lot better than the time I came (12 years ago).

I have a friend of HK, she marrried a New Zealand ppl, is going to move to Australia this Dec. Where do you live in New Zealan?
Here, there's no HK ppl ga, so i'm the only one HK ppl living in Miyazaki-ken, nobody talk to me in Cantonese, so I taught my son to speak cantonese to me, now he's able to speak both jp and cantonese.
For the topic of hot spring, my son's grand grand Ma brought him to hot spring for curing eczema problem when he was 7 mth old. After 2 time treatments, his skin was getting more dry and more rash appeared. I requested not to continue this treatment. However, she bought bottles of cool down hot spring water for him, she asked me use pot to reheat the water(at 37C) and bath for him at home everyday. I followed her instruction and do for a month, but its useless. Therefore i think hot spring is useful for curling eczema or not, its depends on individual. For my son's case, hotsring water is absolutely useless but makes his skin gets more dry and worse.
