mia,
Seems that many shorthaul flights are still severely disrupted, and Heathrow was the worst affected. Will you still fly to London on the 13th as planned? Do get yourselves something to eat and drink when you're queuing up to check in. That's what I'm going to teach jlb :-|
I know you should have checked the information, but here's the reminder for hand baggage restrictions --- so no books to read, no notebooks for "gong"
Cabin Luggage Allowed:
. Pocket-sized wallets/ purses, plus contents
. Passports/ travel tickets
. Prescription medicines, not in liquid form unless verified as authentic
. Essential medical items, eg diabetic kit
. Glasses & sunglasses, no cases
. Contact lens holders, no solution
. Baby food & milk for those with infants - bottle contents must be tasted by accompanying passenger
. Essential sanitary items for infants
. Female sanitary items, unboxed
. Tissues, unboxed, or handkerchiefs
. Keys, but no electric key fobs
I didn't want to scare jlb and so tried to sound lighthearted. I was just joking with her that passengers were all holding a plastic bag boarding the plane as if they just came out from the market. Everybody's flying casual and free
Hope you all will be back safe and sound. Meantime, enjoy your trip!
