So you can spend Kevin's BD laisee at the Bk Fair, and in KK !!

I went in by myself in the morning, then AM joined me around 4pm. Bought a MaD burger and ate it all squashed (I mean the burger) for lunch, AM supplied another Maxim's bun for tea. Left Hall5 at 10p just before the tidal wave of ppl, deposited 90% of buys in my office, then 11pm went to WingWah for noodles and dessert. Reached home by 1pm.

Actually I'm not sure how many "給爺爺的信" books I got last night. But since you already have it we will all have a copy. It was at Little Sesame booth, not Longman booth. I couldn't find it initially. Found a pile on the floor at around 9pm, so decided to buy more copies. If I have spare I am sure somebody will want it.

And tks to AM, I bought some Kinghorn publ TW books at half price, I didn't even knew they existed when I 1st walked through. Also less than half price Dino comic books at Little Sesame.

I didn't even see the FamPlan counter.
We only went through half of Hall 5. V slow progress.

Next yr better go in 1st day and Sat morning. Otherwise will die.

Better remove the names of the Mingpao reporters, (the latter one also Mingpao reporter or another newspaper ?) to protect their identity. There're all sorts of funny ppl in BK and in HK.

Actually the 2nd one is not a reporter. He just asked me to give out a talk to the parents of his daughter's kinder about reading books jar.....

I find the parents' workshop is not as good as expected..... DK even forgot to introduce Encarta during last lesson!!

Buddies, I have bought a set of VCDs from CWB CW called 東方兒童-- 漢語拼音國際音標

5 discs. I was watching the IPA disc with bee. Not bad. HK$ 25 b4 20% off.

Some examples are given and the narrator (speaking in PTH) will explain how to correct some wrong pronounciation of the a: and ae sounds and the i: and I sounds.

Though they are not NET, not bad at all.
Can try if you care for IPA learning for kids

I have bought some IPA symbols cards at Idxx today. Will start to make some cards for bee. Some symbols used are not the latest ones so I need to modify to tally them with DK's D.Jones ones!!

Will start to teach bee IPA soooon..

Did not see this set in BkFair.

Only saw a pamphlet from SAsia booth, TW Chin (translated) books, prev set was 30 books HK$4000, latest set increased to 40 books HK$4400. Will type some of the titles Monday/Tues cos I left everything in the office.
Said if sev (3+) mums chip in together can give slight discount woh (~5%).

Also found 2 sets of larger books (also TW, picture books) in Little Sesame, i.e. the sets which Gloria stored in my office. One is $1500 @ set, don't know px of the other set.

So you didn't go to BkFair ?
Definitely UNsuitable for kids / babies.

SOoooooo tired today.
