I only read from the website tonight that I need to scan piglet's ID if I want to submit online appl.
And deadline = 7 Apr, not much time left.
Need to look see how to apply.
I tried your method re using the metronome to practise scales, but piglet just went through it at his irregular pace !
Cannot teach / refuse to learn.
Double effort no gain !

RMM will deliver the books to TCS tomorrow morning.
So you can't collect today anyway.
No problem with collecting next week / after.
So long as big pig is around and TCS is available (open).

Tks to your encouragement, I've just completed ABRSM application online.
Quite scared that I would miss something ga.
Fortunately the scanned HKID got through.
Piano teacher chose Oct/Nov, to have more time for preparation.
Do you have any idea when we will know exactly which centre we're assigned to ?

We chose to take the practical exam in April/May and theadmission form was posted out on 18 March 2008.

I have just called the Tsang Fook Piano Co. Ltd at Wanchai tobook for a trial (30 mins) one week before the exam date.

apart from receiving the admission form 2 weeks before the exam date, one month after the deadline of application, you should have received the candidate entry information checklist.

For us :
Application deadline : early Jan 2008
Received checklist : 6 Feb 2008
Received the admission form : 18 March 2008

Hi BS,

Which grade exam will piglet enrol this year? My son would take grade 2 piano this summer. His scales are horrible. I believe both manual and electronic 拍字機would not help.

Just took two days off to bring my son to annual check up, poly-eye check, training, Disneyland. Busy than at work.

I don't remember buying that book before though I remembered its name.
Couldn't resist buying, half px woh !!
Where did you get your copy ?

Not so fast. I haven't been to TCS to sort out yet.
And big pig is busy Mon - Wed, so I guess I will go there during lunch time (Tues to Fri) to take them back to my office. Will let you know after I've got all your items back to my office.

My PC at home died on Sat night. Something went wrong and it sent off an alarm in form of a noise made by a siren of a fire engine !! Now I only have the 2 hard disks with data, mostly piglet's photo files.

Grade 3.

I tried RMM's method on Sat night, asked piglet to practise scales and following the rhythm + correct fingers.
We quarelled over the fingers, and he didn't follow the rhythm at all. But on Sunday, during piano lesson, his rhythm was better than before. Told piano teacher that I pushed him hard on Sat night, and piano teacher said, no wonder his scales improved.
