Normally, I will train a NEW helper 2-3 weeks...
~ show her where is supermarket, wet market, fast food shop, dispensary....etc,
~ go to market with her & teach her chinese cooking (simple food, e.g. steam fish, seasoning the meat, boil/fry vegetable...) every night
~ show her how to clean my house (toilet, kitchen, floor)
After that, she manage by herself...
Actaully, most of the helper will attend the training course in the training centre b'4 come to HK. They know some simple chinese cooking (steam fish, steam chicken, fry vegetables, fry rice.....) & cleaning. Don't worry!
