Buddies,

Bad news: Bee has slightly iinjured his left eye probably when he used the chopsticks to pick up the chicken thigh. Probably by a slippery of the chopsticks from his little hand and the former bounced back hitting his left eye.

Just returned from Emergency Ward. He was seen by an eye specialist happened to be there upon call by an adult patient.

Initial diagnosis ---> corneal abrasion. 4mm x 2mm but shallow luckily.

Need to put on eye-drop and ointment to help healing.

Pls pray for him. I need to take 1/2 day leave tomorrow to bring him to check up again and keep a BIG eye on him.

Episodes: When the eye doctor asked bee to tell what number he could see from the eye-sight test card, bee was slient. The doctor pointed to a quite small number 8 and asked if bee saw a '7'. Bee said 'No.. the '7' is on the row below.' and that is true.

Really a bee with quite a sense of humor!!!

Doctor said it is not too serious for the young ones. Eye-sight may be slightly affected if there is a scar on the cornea. Hope that is true..or else. :-( :-( :-(

The accident had happened just 10 mins before I stepped in my place. :-( :-(

Poor bee...... luckily the wound is small.

I think kids generally have a v high speed of recovery, so no need too worry.

I've been praying to God that bee will recover soon!

Sorry to hear that your boy hurt his eye...

Actually, I'll browse your sharing sometime, hope u won't mind I 搭訕 at here.

my girl hurt my eye last year, so I'd like to share my case with u :

day 1 : can use 1 eye to see in the beginning, but later the day, it's too pain to open both eyes (as the eyeball follow the other eyeball movement, once move, hurt).

day 2 : can't open both eyes, have plenty of sleep after visiting doctor, at nite, can slightly open the eyes.

day 3 : can open both eyes, but need to wear sunglasses even at home

day 4 : recover and no different on eye sight

however, it'll 番發 if too dry. My doc asks me to buy a Lubricant eye drop named : "Systane" by Alcon (not "Tears Naturale Free", which also manufactuer by Alcon).

I didn't follow doc's instruction to use Systane every time I feel dry, and I 番發 after 3 mths of the accident.. this time is even worst, it takes me another 6 days to recover (ie, i'm totally "blind" for 4 days)

後遺症 : the eye easy get dry. last time when i was in winter Australia, my eye felt pain during my sleep and I used up the eyedrop in 15 days (normally, I use 1/5 of the bottle every month)

so don't worry, kid can recover very quick. You're in my prayer

Poor bee and you :-|

A few months ago, HM also hurt his eye by 鉛芯筆 (筆芯)

I was very scared and took him to the doctor at once. Luckily, it took only a few days for him to recover (thanks god). He just kept on to drop the "steriliser" (eye-drops) to make sure it won't be inflammed.

Don't worry. Youngs will recover rapidly.

Thanks for the comfort. Bee looks fine today. Will consult the doc again this afternoon. Now at home sneaking in to see your posting. Need to return to WC to continue work. :-(

My boss will take 2 weeks leave in mid Aug-early Sept. Poor me.. :-( :-( :-( And crazy boss of my boss returns to the Earth!!!
