Just 4-5 days short trip. No idea yet, hubby's planning one. Actually, I'm not quite keen though. Cos' don't know if my mom will stay at my home to look after the new-born..... (Unlike my mother-in-law 4 years ago!)
The new helper is so far so good - hard-working, detail-oriented, good memory, and good-cooking for Chinese food. Rachel likes her too. Will see how it goes after probation.
Sure, but I think it's just "luck"/God's blessing this time that this helper is ok in doing household work. Her spoken English is really fair, high school graduate. Besides, I'm not VERY demanding so far.
FYI, the last helper they referred is U-grad, good spoken English, but absent-minded, talkative, and unattentive. Resigned after working for 10 months though.
Please tell the agent what're your priorities (1st, 2nd & 3rd), and ask her to sort out some applications for you. She'll fly to Manila to choose applications every other months. She usually recommends overseas ones (maybe earn more agent fee from the helper), rather than just finish contract in HK.
