hi, maxnew,請問我join gei hsbc savings protection plus 儲存保是否有問題??
I joined this plan on 16aug1999 when I was 19 yrs old, and
the schedule target period for 12 yrs,
sum insured hkd400,000,
total monthly premium: $400
Premium allocation:
HSBCLife Deposit Fund<Stable Growth Fund>(HKD) 20%
Capital Growth Fund(HKD) 80%
But, on 18Apr2005, I deleted the "Accidental Death Benefit" and "Major Illness Benefit", and I withdrew HK$5000 in 2004
When I called them on 24/1//07 how much I 've already invested so far and how much I could get back if I want to canx the acc., the staff in HSBC told me I hv invested $73,950-$5000(that I withdrew in 2004), that means HK$68,950, and I could get back ONLY HK$30,337.98 if I want to canx.
I felt shocked, how come I just can get back less than half money what I invested, so what can I do now? can u suggest me? should I canx? and there is sth. wrong in my plan?
if I still keep invested hk$400 @ mth. I don't think I cu get any return in 2011. And when I joined this plan, I just want to SAVE $, and at that moment, HSBC asked me to do the insurance go w/ this plan, and she told me the fund what I chose is HIGH risk and was good for me cos I was still young at that time. Huh. but now, what I know is I lost more than HK$30,000 which I ate less, no shopping, just want to save $, I feel so upset and very disappinted on this HSBC bank. :-(
