Allergy to vegetables is not as well-documented as, for example, allergy to fish and dairy products. A diagnosis of vegetable allergy may be difficult to obtain because gastrointestinal symptoms may be caused by the local effect of lectins and not by allergy (25). Most allergens from vegetables are heat labile and heating weakens the allergenicity of vegetables such as celery and potato. The ripening of vegetables, such as tomato, increases the allergenicity. Part of the allergenicity of vegetables may be caused by crossreactivity with antigens of pollens from trees or weeds. In recent studies, the protein profilin, found in weeds, grass, fruits and vegetables, has been suggested as a panallergen in some patients causing cross-allergic manifestations to various unrelated species (32,39).
I have tried giving
1. soya milk (sometimes SO NICE, sometimes from City Super, sometimes fresh made from 豆漿店 (they use soya bean from Canada)) + Quaker Oatmeal + fruit or
2. ABC noddle + tomato
other than these, also give her some bread and fruit juice
however, she seems not so interest, recently, she throws away the bread whenever we give her.
any advice on breakfast choice?
shall I give congee? (she likes congee and has it for lunch and dinner)
