Well, I passed the 10 days quarantine period and suppose to go back to work on Monday. However, I received the phone call from the company that I have to stay at home for one more week. That means I am going back to work on Easter Monday.
In my office, there are two people under quarantine (one is me). The other person, his wife works in Grace hospital (first outbreak in Toronto). He was also quarantine with his wife. On the eleventh day (last Friday), he came to work and within hours, he was showing signs of SARS. He was immediately sent home. On Wednesday, he was taken to hospital for isolation. Number of co-workers who sits close by also shows SARS symptoms and now in quarantine for 10 days. Due to this incident, the company decide to let me stay at home for another week. During my absence of work, I am still entitled to receive my paid cheque (Good!!).
In order to ensure I did not infect with SARS, I had my X-ray yesterday and I was delighted that today my family doctor had told me that my lung is still in perfect condition. It's a relief for me since when we were in HK, we had been to most critical places, Bangkok, Canton city, Taipei, Guilan, Cheong San, Hang Ngan Island, Macau and Hong Kong. Although my daughter was with my folks while we were in other places, I was very worry that we may pass on to her. Not to mention, the flight we took when we came home. (During our visit to other foreign places, it was not as critical and series as it sound. In fact, the term SARS does not even exists.)
God had gave us a special blessing to my family, thank you, O lord.
This morning, we went to Loblaws (supermarket) for grocery. When I passed by some of the isle, I noticed some shoppers move aside as we walked by. One of the shopper even cover her mouth while stepping back. I was annoyed at the beginning but later I started to amuse their reaction. I feel like I am noble and they were humble to me. As I walked by, the servants step down, afraid of me. Ooh, what a respect.

Welcome to Toronto. I hope WHO announcement didn't scare you. Compare with other SE countries, Toronto is pretty safe.
Ladies:
What do you think about Mel Lastman? Do you think he is an idiot or brave to speak out? Did anyone see the interview that CNN conduct? Anyway, let's hope WHO will cancel the travel warning to Toronto, it's hitting pretty bad in Toronto. Friend of mine who work in MTCC (Metro Toronto Convention Center) and she said all major events in MTCC had been cancel. I had number of friends who work in hotel industry, they were either layoff or LWTP (Leave without paid).
