ckkwkl with my body weight, I am as stiff as the mountain, can't blow away by the wind.
yes, heard that tonight with the strong wind - will feel like (-40) but my husband still want to go to play badminton, as no matter how, we need to go to BIL's house to pick my my 99.
no badminton yesterday - as community center still no power... end up staying home for movie
we did not go anywhere special, just like daily home life - going to supermarket, canadian tire, home depot, restaurants, mall etc. he wanted to buy/fix something at home. he prefers staying home longer time - cooking at home as he eats outside everyday, tidy up rooms (daughter's room - too messy and she does not listen to me to tidy up and "no hand tail - he then lawlawsawsaw her for one hour" ), install new software for daughters, go swimming / table tennis in clubhouse etc.
PoohPoohMaMa,
Congratulation! I assume you give birth natually and come home so fast! Did you request to leave so early or it is too full at the hospital?
If my memory is right, your give birth a week before your actualy due date, right? When did you stop working and did you husband taking any day off to accompany you? How about the labor? Is it easier for the second one?
I am following your foot step right now and my tummy is 41"...looks very big already! Everything is under control on my side and I already purchased a Peg Perego stroller and Graco car seat. Next big item will be a bunk bed and stock up diapers!
How is your breastfeeding? Take more rest as your son needs you and take good care yourself.
haven't come here for a while due to the busy quarter end.
poohpoohmama - congradulation to you. and welcome aboard for the new member.
during the pass few weeks - just too busy - both workwise and personal.
good news is my job still here - boss said the cut off will now postpone to end of the year - so India mess up most of the transactions.. so our quarter end just drive us crazy...
personally - MIL diabetics index go up.. and she still wish to stick to her own doctor in missassagua.. so most weekend - just drive all the way to drop her off for doctor's appointment.
does any mom know how to apply for the co-payment for senior? we were told, most of the drugs were covered by OHIP, but need to fill in the application form to appy.
MIL just came back in 2007, no income tax file, and they need letter from someone - who will be responsible for her daily living? any sample letter that I could borrow for that?
you can check with the pharmacy and they should be able to see if your mother in law is on the Senior drug plan. As I know, you don't need to apply for the senior co-payment, i.e. pay only $2 for each prescription. if not, ask the pharmacy and they should have the form.
Hi xother,
My boy is 2 weeks earlier than the due date. We just went to the ped to check up and his blood level is bottomline for jaundice, hopefully he won't need the treatment. Need to give him some formula supplement. My BF is much better than last time; already has colossum in day 1 and transitional milk in day 3. But still not enough...
My delivery is shorter than last time but still long... like 14 hours for a second time mom. I didn't use any epidural, so the push only takes 15 minutes.
well, you spend a lot on the stroller and carseat, but that's important. Which Peg-perego stroller do you get? is it a P3 that your old one can stand on the step?
PoohPoohMaMa,
Glad to hear you BF very well ! 14hrs is fine as long as no complication. Last time I have 12hrs after my water broke.
I didnt spend too much on stroller and car seat as I bought it from 2nd hand. both are first owner and I total spend $140. Both are came from pet/smoke free home and they are first owner. The stroller is a pram with foot warmer and rain cover. I know it will cost me over $300 if it is brand new and that one is only 3yrs old. The car seat is just 1.5yrs old. My daughter is too old for any stroller and even for the first date we bought it, she refused to seat on it but willing to push only!
congratulations to your smooth delivery.
May God bless your family.
Glad to hear that you breastfeed well. My younger daughter is now 15months, but I am still breastfeeding her twice a day, though she also drinks goat milk throughout the day. I hope you can endure it as long as you can.
Thanks for your encouragement. I plan to breastfeed him at least for a year because of my daughter's eczema and I am afraid that my son will have allergy to diary product as well.
Where can I find goat milk? Would that be less allergic than goat or soy milk? My daughter's eczema will become worse when she drinks cow milk.
In the past I have read about BF and most them recommend BF up to 1yr. It said breastmilk is not good enough after 6months and that's why we need to introduce other food for baby.
you can get goat milk from Loblaws, Longos and Dominion. Goat milk is supposed to be less allergic than cow milk because its protein structure is very very similar to human breastmilk. But since is folic content is lower, it is better to ensure they get enough GREEN Leaves intake.
If you daughter's eczema is serious, you can try probiotics. I read it in a couple websites and they said that probiotics may help.
I am giving my elder daughter (4.5yrs) probiotics now, just to improve her nutrients absorption. I asked my pediatrician and she said it's ok to give to her. No problems.
I plan to BF my son at least a year. According to my prenatal class instructor (a lactation consultant), actually the nutrition is good enough after 6 months, but it is normal to introduce solid at 6 months for practice purpose.
PoohPoohMaMa,
I think the first 6month is critical to build up the immunisation as well as relationship while BF, after that, I want to give myself a break. I stop my daughter just before she turn 1 due to my work schedule and I think she deserve something better than my milk. I heard lots of allergic cases in this country. My daughter has nothing so far since she born in HK but I heard that it is different if the child born in Canada. I am not sure yet but I believe giving her the natural food will be the best. I never like those ready make baby jar food nor suppliment.
By the way, just wonder when should I submit my EI? I understand that I need to fill up the online form, but do I need my OB to sign something on it before I stop working as I saw there is notice in the OB showing they charge $30 for filling application. What is it about?
My due date is 20Jun but I plan to work till end of May and I will pull out my daughter from daycare as well because I assume it is good for her to share the time with us since my husband will be off for 3months.
So far I have bought my car seat, stroller and planning to buy a rocker chair as it is convenience to move around him within the house. I didnt buy changing table as it seems too big to put in the house and I think I just do it all in the bed with a changing pad.
Please advice me if you think something I need to prepare.
