Yes, the highest school fee chargeable for DSS is $48K per annum. As far as I know, Kv's school fee will also be maintained at this level for the coming school year.

All,

Will join one interesting China's tour organize by youth
organisation.

1st day. Go to Guangzhou and stay at the Guangzhou's family for one night. dinner together
(to let the kids play and exchange their own experience)

2nd day. Go to visit the primary school
stay at the hotel

3rd day. Go to visit the farmer and exchange experience
-- this place is very poor and visit their home/school etc...
the social worker said the farmer only use the corn's leave to cook the congee to eat. The corn will sell of course..... We will eat this kind of congee as well, i don't know whether i can eat it.....i will try it.....??

To let my son try what is the poor lifestyle although we are not rich.....

i think the most poor one is me, i need to accompany him to try such experience.....

He is very exciting to this trip.... My honey said my son is not the main person who need to try this experience.

The one who need to try this experience is ME WO...

ask me to learn how to save money WOR. don't spent too much WOR.

my son's school (private one) didn't adjust the school fee for two years. Didn't receive any notice for the review up to now.

Hope they didn't adjust la.

You remind me of a story: Rich people Poor people..

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nightson the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"

"It was great, Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.

"Oh yeah," said the son.

"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered:

"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!

i bought this book at dangdang around RMB$20.00,
when i went to CP yesterday, found out that they are selling at over $100 for this series.

Quite interesting,

My son got 8 weeks of Summer Holidays, I think I will enrol 2 or 3 summer activities later. Don't want to spend too much money la.

We need to pay for 10 months schoolbus fare too, but the school offer 5% and 10% discounted for the second and third child respectively.

Anyway, we don't have to pay school fees and schoolbus fare for July and Aug. Need to pay for 10 months (Sept - June). (Actually can regard it as paying for all months but divide annual fees by 12 instead of 10.)

I have bought some GS from Bookfair last year, it seems $100 or $120/3 books. Please teach me how can you remember all the prices of the books you bought, as I forgot all the details if they don't have price marks at the bottom of the book !

FYI, the HKPTU sells GS at $40.X and $46.X .

I'm busy for these two weeks too, as my nephews are having final exams. My sister didn't take any leave and she is still go working at China too!

Yesterday afternoon, I found two dads took care of their daughters, they looked like the mothers and were chatting around !
