明白你的困惑，因如果只睇分數，J & P 這年紀已能彈這些級別歌曲和有這樣分數，算是很好了，但我覺得你煩既唔係分數既問題，係我小朋友依足老師既教法，臨場又發揮到水準，但評判話有某些技巧要改善，但這些老師從來冇提，甚至都唔覺有這個情況，咁講法即是將來可能也有相同問題出現啦，所以都明白你既煩處，希望和祝你能早日解決你煩的問題。(如有說得不對，請勿見怪啊 )

My daughter got 1st prize (90 marks) in today's U110 competition. The 2nd prize is 86 marks.

The judge's favourable comments include
. good dance concept of rhythm, good articulation and melodic shape, good control on bar 14
. excellent talent and very musical
. excellent teacher

The not so good comments are :-
. don't move too much and interrupt your melody
. don't look at audience before you finish playing the last note.

I must admit that the teacher owns most of the credit as commented by the adjudicator.



Hi MsChanChan,

Here are some of the adjudicator's comments to share. She commented that many candidates managed the left hand (LH) rhythm very well, but let it overshadowed the right hand (RH) and covered up the melody and singing. She emphasized on balancing the RH and LH - i.e. listen and soften the LH part to let the RH comes out. But she liked the LH to stand out well in the first few bars.

She also commented that the 'forte' were not played strong enough (e.g. bar 14). However, I have soften my daughter's playing in bar 14 so it will be more musical and not so rough, and the adjudicator liked it.

Today's 2nd prize goes to No. 24. The 3rd prizes are No. 28, 34, 47 and 50.
