首先多謝所有媽媽的意見及幫助，Thanks & congratulations
mommycharis.

我已經搵到產科醫生 Dr. Mary Lee 而且肯接生，但當然要
Family Doctor referred. 我己經做了一次產檢及照左一次超聲波.

我想問下各位媽媽，你地係邊到買大肚衫褲, 我d 褲己經着唔落啦 !:-( 唔該 !!

I got my maternity pants at thyme maternity. It's quite pricey, but quality is good.

There's one store on W4th and Arbutus. There's also another store called "Motherhood" or something like that.

You can also try old navy. They have pretty good deal stuffs. Check out the one in Richmond Center, they have maternity section in that store.

So when will be you due date?

Congratulations! This is your first baby?
So Dr. Mary Lee are on duty in which hospital ah?
For my own experience, BC Women's is a good hospital for baby delivery. My baby was born on May this year, all of their staffs are very experience and nice.

pretty girl mama~

my first OB doctor is Karman Loh ( HK )
second OB is Stephine Rhone ( 鬼婆)
both of them can deliver baby to Women~

women Hospital is very nice, but ,,,,just too many new
doctors and nurse, and from my second baby~I had bad experience that my DR told the new nurse and the new DR that let me sleep and wait for the cervix to open and do the epidural later ,so no need to do cervix check ( my DR know that I will freak out when people do viginal check on me , ) but,,,when my DR left,,,,the new DR + nurse talk secreatly and told me they still have to check for every 30 minutes,

I didn't questioned them, and I was unlucky that day,, my DR had emergency C section so she ask this new DR to help me deliver ~ and during the delivery,,,,this new DR keep asking the nurse :what should I do next ,? and he forgot to cut the baby's cord so my husband had to remind him an hour later,,, and so many thing ~~~`but anyways, it is very nice hospital ,,,but I am thinking of change to other hospital so I can have private room~~

From the posting regarding on Women Hospital, I think Burnaby Hospital is much better. Here is my experience.

From the time I admitted to the hospital, I was at the same bed, same room, same nurse throughout my whole child birth. My OB arrived within 45mins and she told me I can keep my daughter with me in the same room while I deliver my baby!

From the water broke to the child born, it is about 3hrs and I was with 2 nurses and my OB only. There is no any other strangers around and the nurse even offer me a toast and milk at midnight while my husband has left due to taking care with our daughter. Compare with what I experienced in HK, it is like a heaven here.

Dear Xother ,
thanks very much for your advise,
I think I'll choose burnaby hospital toofor my thitd baby~,because you are right it is better to stay in the same room with same person,compare to women's they send me home many times for my first and second child, eventhough my water broke , I had to stay at home ~

and share room with other people after baby delivered,I requested for private room but always full~~
anyway, thanks :loveliness:

Siufei,
Please dont misunderstand, I stay in the same room till child birth, then I transfer back to the ward which I request semi-private. Once you are at the ward, it follows what you prefer

i am considering to give birthing in Vancouver, as i am Hongkong-er (non-canadian), and would like to know more for planning ahead.

i have pregnant for 24 wks by now, and looking for the doctor in Vancouver that accepts new patient. Do you have any doctors referral for it?

the cost estimates for doctor and hospital ?

Hi,

I am wondering to go to Canada to give birth in this Summer, however; I am not a Citizen. Can you give me some information about the doctor (prefer who can speak in Chinese), hospita and medical fee?
Also do you know any summer course for kid (4 years old), as I don't want to leave my elder kid in Hong Kong if poosible I would let him study summer course there.
