i totally agree and i have the same experience, I feed my baby for 2 years and 1.5 month, however, i have no choice but i have to stop breastfeeding from August as I have to have a treatment due to my health problem, and the medicine I'll take is not suitable for breastfeeding. I feel very sad about this as I have tried to tell my baby about this issue, and he feels sad to and keep saying no, and want "milk milk"
If i have a choice, i will choose to continue breastfeeding as I feel very sweet and warm to give the "best gift" to my baby, it makes him healthy and happy!
To be honest, it's not easy to insist to do so if the people arround you are trying to stop you, I have the similar experience as y ou, my hubby, my mom also want me to stop it, but I believe this is the best way for my baby, so I keep to do so until now.
So, don't give up, try you best and believe you can do it, then you can really do it.
