I always think that my 2nd baby will arrive early too, maybe because my first one was born @ 37 weeks +. This week is my 37 weeks already and I am getting excited, especailly this morning I had a bit of "stomacharch". Last time I started with the water broken, so really had no idea how the labor will proceed this time.

For my daughter's eczema, I try changing her from cow milk to goat milk + rice milk. It helps a bit. However, once she has nothing to do, she like to scratch here and there!

yeah, actually i don't J&J's products and almost all their baby products have frangnance in them.

so, is it Dr. Tsang or Dr. Zeng?
how many times and how often your son has seen him?

but when i mentioned to my hubby abt your chinese dr., he kinda said that not to expect him to go with us, becoz it's in chinatown and they don't take appointments and waiting time is long.
if he's good, i really wanna give it a try. however, i also don't like to drive in S.F. downtown or chinatown.

yesterday my cousin in SF also mentioned another chinese doctor, Dr. Chan, at "Wing Wall" herbs store in chinatown. but not sure if he has experiences seeing young kids. have u ever heard abt him?

i remember u.
my son's eczema's really bad these few days (actually since he's taken some herbal medicines from the doctor couple weeks ago).
for the past few days, he's late for school for an hour for 2 days and he's out of school for a day. becoz he's been so itchy and crying for abt 1 to 2 hrs at night. now it seemed that the Benerdryl doesn't help much too. the doctors has already prescribed the Betamethasone Valerie (next level stronger than 2.5% cortisone) for him couple years ago, but we don't wanna use it too often. the skin on his hands are already too thin and look like wrinkles on them.

i guess yr girl's eczema might be much milder than his. and most of my friends' girls outgrown their eczema by the age of 2 to 3 yrs old.

i just saw your message here now.

since some of u are working, i guess it might be easier if we hv gathering during the weekends unless u just go out by yourself for lunch without taking your kids.
however, i'm only available in the evenings during weekends, coz my sons have classes on Sat. and we go to church Sunday mornings.

for preschools, some of my friends' kid go to Appleseed Montessori in Sunnyvale/Santa Clara, CCLC in Sunnyvale (both waiting lists are very long). i think there're a lot of choices in yr neighborhood, and we can talk abt it when u hv time.

by the way, any Bay Area moms' have kids who're between 3 and 6?
my son is 4 and he especially likes to play with kids in that age group.

Last pregnancy, I had complication and I went out for bedrest since the 7-1/2 months. In and out of the hospital for 3 times then my son bornt. It started with bleeding (placenta abruption) with 5cm dilated. Then, nothing happened for 24 hours and the doctor needed to induce. No more than 2 hours, I started bleeding again and the dr. needed to break the water for me to fasten the process. Another 2 hours, I was fully dilated and started to push my son out. Finally, he bornt after 2.5 hours of pushing. So, this time, I also have no idea how it will start... just waiting. I'm so glad that I can start my maternity leave now and stay home.

I guess that my son's allergy come from both J&J shampoo and the diapers (we bought a new box of Pampers Baby Dry and it's the first time we use that, I used to buy Pampers Swaddle or Huggies). Today, my mom used Huggies, his bottom got much better. I told my husband not to use soap on our son but he does not listen. When I show him how bad our son is now, he told me to get this bottle of shampoo out of his way ?-( ?-( .

It's Dr. Zeng (pronouned as Tsang), he came from China so that spelling is different. I agree that parking in Chinatown of SF is really hard. I used to park at gargage and walk up to that herb shop. Your hubby is right, Dr. Zeng not really take reservation and sometimes, the waiting time is so long, depends on how many people and who is waiting in line already. Some people asked so much questions or talked too much and it would affect the waiting time. Usually, my mom brought my son there in late morning during weekdays. If I went by myself, I would go somewhat during early afternoon in weekends but it did not guarantee that there's no waiting line. You better has reserved 1-2 hours including waiting and actual seeing the doctor. My son used to see him every 2-3 days at the beginning and then 1 every week. Now, we only go when his rash is bad. My mom tries to make different kinds of soup and food to "clean up" his digestion system. Also, I need to watch out for the weather. If it's hot, I need to take off some of his clothes to avoid him from sweating and scratching.

yr hubby sounds a little like mine when u talked abt how he reacted abt the soap for bathing yr son.

anyway, we seldom used soap to bath our son but we used just a little bit if that day he sweated a lot and on the dirty areas only.
for soap, u can consider Aveeno and Cetaphil.
if yr son has hand eczema, i strongly recommend Oilatum's antibacterial soap-free cleansing lotion (available at Amazon at $11.75@). it's like Cetaphil's gentle cleanser but also has antibacterial function. so i put a bottle at my son's school.

I also don't use soap on my son because of his dry skin but since my belly became so big that I cannot bend down to bathe him, my husband started having a bath with him and he put soap in the water for both my son and himself (he has dry skin too). You know, the baby is ours, I cannot always say no to his suggestion. But, most of the time, he insists to do what he thinks right and ends up finding it to be wrong. I guess man is just an animal with very low sensibility and woman seems to be bornt with more instinct on childcare. Maybe because we have the babies in our body for so many months and we have special bonding to understand their needs.

About the gathering, how about Sunday afternoon? You kids have class too? My Sunday church service finish around noon so I am free after that. If you are available for weekend evening only.... then probably we can meet for outdoor (a bit too late). Will see how the time goes. :)
Do you have any idea how LONG the waiting list would be by any chance? My son is 14 months now. If we start to put in the list, will it be too early? yeah, let's talk when you have time. Do you log in IM often? I add you in my list already but didn't see you online so far.

for sat, my son's current swimming session will end in early Sept. if i don't enroll him into the next swimming class session or any other classes, we can also have lunch on Sat.

I am usually free on Sunday the whole day except church's service (My church service is between 11am - noon in Menlo Park). So Sunday afternoon is good for me. :)

I will prefer 9/9 I guess. My husband will be back in town 8/26 and I am not sure what time he will be back (like morning or afternoon). Actually if he will back in town late, then 8/26 may be ok too. It's actually my bday. :)

9/2 may not be a good day. My mom will come on 9/1 at night so I may need to accompy her especially after she just arrive in town. She will be here for 3 months. So I will vote for 9/9 for now.

I will have a dental appt to remove 2 wisdom teeth on 9/13 and the dr already warned me that I may not be able to eat well etc for a week after that. So if the date b4 9/13 not working for all, I will need to vote for later date (see when will I recover from my gum surgery/remove wisdom teeth).
