i guess should be used like that. one of the practical life training in Mont.

i read some overseas websites about similar devices but made of wood. but seems this one (made of fabric) is better:
1) don't know where to buy the wooden one in hk
2) fabric one should be more "practical" as it resembles the real shoes more.

of course, one can always argue that we can simply give the real shoe to the baby.....

btw, 小boo 識自己扯鬆鞋帶同埋除鞋仔, really smart girl. one of the JP homework last month was removing socks.......... i don't think my baby knows how to 識自己扯鬆鞋帶同埋除鞋仔............

I also thought of giving the real shoe to my baby for a while but remember something from Michael alof... and quoted as belows"[Before the age of six, a child learns from direct contact with the environment, by means of all the senses, and through movement; the child literally absorbs what is in the environment. The toys and materials in the home and school should be of the very best quality to call forth self-respect, respect and care from the child toward the environment, and the development of an appreciation of beauty.}

I think apart from training them concentration, the other reason that I want her to learn is respect to what she owns, learn not to damage things and ensure what she put in mouth is safe, if she put a real bb shoe, the rubber will irriates her too much for using the toy...anyway good thought for DIY....

thanks for your information. :)

i remember reading sth about why Mont used the "dressing frame" instead of letting the kids to practice on real clothes from the "genius bk" we talked about previously.

one argument is to reduce frustration.

wonder this may also be another consideration to use a "shoe toy" instead of the real shoe.

如果講比佢學自己學著鞋, 我覺得用自己既鞋好d, 用玩具practice除鞋帶... 反方向喎
我個仔都會自己除襪... 因為佢唔想著!
