I think you had better take into consideration her other work performance at your home. If she is ok, you may try to teach her or order her to follow your instructions. If she has many other aspects that you hate as well or you have no hope on her, then consider dismissing her.

You know, to find an ideal or perfect maid is very difficult, we have no alternative but to be realistic. My maid also has some weaknesses that I dislike but she is ok generally, so she is still at my home.

my maid used many of things which she thought i didn't want to use such as combs, tooth brush, small bags, plastic box, notebooks. She even took the money $20 notes i put in my jeans(i tested her). she even told me she brought 50 dollars of foods but in fact it was only 40 ( i know that cos i asked her to buy $10 pork, 5 vege etc...)

at the beginning i was very mad. but i was told 9 out of 10 maids will steal so i have just to be careful...

So i have to checked her drawer sometimes and always remind her not to steal things in the past five years. I also brought a mini safe box at home.. and if she used anything even cheap thing from mine i will tell her i missed something and evetually the thing will come out in some place soon.
so i would say no use to fire her but be careful. they are all liers and love to steal things

I have to say that it sounds terrible to live with a maid in this way. Life becomes harder. It really wastes time and energy.
