I see... actually the big shops had gained money even buy back at 100% as the diamond value (selling price) increase non-stop!

anyway, it is good to know we can return and upgrade our diamond at big shops...

I buy jewellery from Lane Crawford but they don't buy back diamond.

自從聽完tiffany d人咁講, 仲有van cleef既都有咁講過,我每次經過同x福,就算見到有d成好大粒既石,價錢又相宜,我都唔係好咁買...好似卡幾兩卡既石,好多舖頭五萬有找,但係tiffay,80份既石都買唔到呀...

唔通真係咁唔同....

Mikimoto only uses the highest quality (they select the top few %, must be less than 5%). If you use Lane Crawford card or Mikimoto card to purchase, can get a 10% discount. I think their prices are very high. I used to purchase small pieces from them, but now at that price, I'd rather buy south sea pearls. They also hv south sea pearls, but all are in the 6 digits range.

You can only get Mikimoto from Mikimoto boutique. You can get them in Japan at a slightly lower price.

I like VCA and Cartier more than Tiffany. Tiffany produces too many styles, can only recognise a few signature styles. Can never afford to buy diamond solitares from branded jewelry stores because their mark-up is at least 3x of Chow XX

我係細舖買, 有 GIA 證書, 70份, $18xxx, 比 D 大行平好多. 佢都會 buy back, 價錢就按當時粒鑽石既價錢買番 (即可能會比我買時平左 or 貴左).

我自己唔識睇翡翠, 又唔知價，驚比人"握"bor
可能自己未屬於年紀大個d, 冇唸得咁長遠, 首飾緊係要可以經常帶, 如果成日放在保險箱，不如買金條、大粒鑽石o果d啦 (如果我有好多$的話)

所以我會擇珍珠首飾, 可以經常配帶, 返工又得, causal 又得, 不過要小心保養個面, 花咗就冇得救

I have a long strand of 田崎珍珠 necklace, quality quite good. However, their quality varies, not like Mikimoto, which all pearls are of very good quality (high luster (shiny) and without dents). 田崎珍珠 produces some very bad quality pearl jewelry where you can get for under $2000 for a strand of pearl necklace (in flight product).

For investment, I will choose antique diamond jewelry/watches (where you can buy in HK jewelry fair or overseas antique market), and branded name jewelry (like bulgari, Piaget, chopard, Cartier, Tiffany).

I think every lady needs to have a simple pearl strand necklace in closet. It can match well with suit, shirt, T-shirt with jeans. Mikimoto pearl strand necklace ranges from abt $10k. $10k can only get very small pearl strand necklace, probably around 5-6mm. Maybe you can shop around jewelry fair first before buying mikimoto? Mikimoto quality is good, but if you don't mind no brand name, other jewelry shops also offer good quality pearls at at least 50% Mikimoto price.

Good luck with your pearl hunting! If I do not lose so much in stock and forex mkt this mth, I would have done some shopping too :(

This website shows you an indication of a fair price of different size/carat weight diamond. If you get from Luk fook/Chow xx, the price will be abt 20%-30% more. I never purchased from this website though, just use this website as an indication.

多謝你的回覆, 我真真係珍珠新手, 我會去睇下,到時有咩心水再問你,,,我個人比較prefer去mikimoto,有10% discount, 同埋心理因素,我寧願買貴既brand jewellery,保證quality,都唔想貪平去一d無guarantee的...
