你是不是個基督徒?你好好!真的!我這個人不太會說話!我最近都好忙假日忙著帶個囡囡外出玩!無論我有几唔開心都好,我一定唔會忽略個囡囡.

Yeah! I am a Christian ah. There are many brothers and sisters in different churches, and many friends keep praying for our baby ah.

I personally think the plastic doctor, Dr. Lam,is wonderful. If you queue up the public stream, you only need around HK$ 200 / 300 sth, and 95% = conducted by Dr. Lam. If you queue up the private line, you at least HK$ 40,000 and some more for the Cleft Repair. Pls. let me know if you wanna have some info. :-P :-P

As for the plastic doctor, I also think Dr. Kelvin Liu in United Christian Hospital is very, very good.

Will you join the associatio? I highly recommend you to join. You will gain lots of support and information.

DR. LAM 系唔系瑪麗醫院?我都好想去瑪麗但系我諗應該唔可以,因為我個B已8個月大!相信距離手術時不久!

剛發現阿B有裂顎問題時,廣華外科醫生好詳細同我們解說有關這個病來由,并且他總同我們講"兔唇裂顎系香港唔多,每年只有100個BB左右!香港只有3間醫院可以做手術分別:瑪麗/東區/廣華."我們聽完醫生講之就放心咁將個B交比醫生.但系我每次返去覆診都系見唔同醫生,有時總系實習醫生!我試過問o的醫生究竟操刀的是那位醫生?他們比我的答案是成組醫生. 好擔心!

我想請問你個BB宜家几大?言語方面有冇問題?手術後几時先進食固體食物同埋几時至消腫?唉...!真系好少少BB系兔唇裂顎,咁難中的機會都比我中著!到時都知點教阿B成長中面對遇到問題!我系BK留言咁來,都無人入來,幸好有你一直以來幫助!明晚如果可的話我諗我都會去協會!你知嗎?系我剛知BB情況時我每日都以淚洗臉,讓我明白到針吉唔到肉唔知痛!嘗盡對人歡笑背人愁滋味!初初要吃安眠藥才可入睡.

有一天,我無意中走進bk心聲留言見到一位媽媽留言大概是"生命將要結束,不知做些什麼好!"我看了她整個故事及其他媽媽送給她的祝福和鼓勵!忍不住哭泣,我好想好想留言比她,但系我唔知說什麼好!我想說的都已經有其他媽媽說了. 但願她今生無悔!事事順利!

Dear Joey-ch2003,

Hi! Sorry for my late reply. I'm very busy recently.

The Palate Repair will normally be done for BB when there are 9 months - 1.5 years old in Hong Kong.

Actually, there are not only 3 hospitals can do the surgery. But I think there are many good plastic surgery in Hong Kong.

Our plastic doctor also said there are only around 100 case in HK. And, my baby's case is one of the few serios casue.

So, don't worry. Even my bb belongs to the serious case. His two operations went very successfully.

You can try to call the Cleft Association. I think they can check out with any members are in the same hospital. So you guys can share the feeling and experience each other.

Hee hee..by the way, though I always "sale" the service of the association, I don't have any commission. Actually, I also gain help there, and I really want to help other in the association and sth parents in need.

My baby is now 13 months. He is very cheerful and active, just like "normal" baby.

He can pronoue "pa pa, ma ma.....". So far, his language ability is quite okay. We will consult speech therapist later when he grow up. The doctor said it's difficult to check his language ability in this age.

My baby's cleft palate had been quite serious before, so he may have some speech problem. Yet, the doctor said not every baby with cleft palate will have speech obstacle. So, I hope your baby is one of the lucky ones.
