The central belief of Suzuki method is that every child, if properly taught, was capable of a high level of musical achievement. And Suzuki suggest kids start to learn music as early as they can.

Since I got a master degree in education, there are lots different education theory, however, are they suit your needs?

Suzuki was born in a "music family", according to his own experience, he thought that every kid can become musician with proper teaching, plus good learning environment. Again, kids should start to learn music as early as they can. Here, music does not point to piano/ violin or any other instrument, but music environment.

Since I did not receive Suzuki training, I cannot tell much.

Nillie_Mami........may I have more information

1) does Amanda use "Suzuki series" or other books, e.g. Bastien/ Little fingers/ Easiest piano/ A dozen a day/ Everybody/ Leila/ John Thomson?

2) does the music school offer music headstart classes?

3) how long does Amanda learn piano? Is she 5 or 6 year old? Do you mean that she has to play 2 octave (middle C --> C' -->G'?)
or she has to play 1 octave with 1 special note G'?

4) May I know more about the theory class?

係呀, 我而家都教緊佢a - z , 但佢都係識幾個咋, 1-4都未識,佢真係學野慢, or 我會比佢學左ballet先,因佢likes dancing very much.

My son go to school and he can follow rules, but he throws in tantrum sometimes...

Thank you for your tips. Let me do more research and see if he should learn music soon.

Thank you ah. Yup, I'm at my new place la. However, most of boxes are still unpack and part of furniture are in storage room. I may need two more weeks before settling down.

You have to take good care of yourself ah. Less than 4 weeks only. Have you purchased diapers and stuff like that?

其實學什麼都好，最緊要個小朋友有興趣。
既然你個女鍾意 ballet，catch 住呢個 moment，畀佢學 ballet 先，之後，再鼓勵佢學多樣。

有呀, 前果排見online唔洗比shipping, 所以都買左幾boxes呀..好在冇買nb size咋, 我諗我呢個肥b實過8 lbs, 買左nb size就用唔到啦. 衫仔冇買過呀..好在得你地比d我, 我諗頭兩個月都夠用架, 到時睇下佢有幾肥先再買啦, peggy又比左一件勁thick既 coat比我, 所以出院冇有怕啦..formula方面都係買左32oz powder咋, 我好想做到人奶媽呀..所以都冇咩買formula, 但聽講頭一兩個星期都驚唔夠奶既話,都係要補formula, so都會叫老公再睇下有冇時間出去再買咯.

我都好怕執野, 但搬屋又真係好開心架..可以轉下地方, 又有新鮮感..有冇整番間room比corey呀?佢肯唔肯自己一個訓呀?

Have you registered Similac, Enfamil and NGS ah? If not, remember to register with them and get some manufacturer checks. If you need any of these, I can register with my address so you can get more checks.
Corey will have his own room ah. However, he doesn't want to share with his brother. Therefore, I have to squeeze half of my home office for Colin. Wait till they both getting bigger and put them in the same room.

佢用緊Suzuki Piano school vol 1 revised edition. 而家佢要做memorize. 唔准睇琴譜, 雙手彈到第8首, 第10同11首要望譜至得.

Amanda今年6月尾開始學琴, 當時4歲10個月大.
而家5歲4個月, 學咗半年, 之前用Bastein primer A, 同 John W. Schaum, 但6個禮拜已學晒, so, 到8月就轉學suzuki.

佢由middle C上高8度, 但手仔太細喇, 彈得好辛苦!

佢every saturday 上30min piano class, then, 隔個半鐘就學樂理, mostly用 John W. Schaum嘅note speller book one, 聽同唱歌, 聽KEY, 而家學C major 同G major --from Piano Scales & Broken Chords. Grade 1.

而家先生教佢彈M. Clementi. 嘅 SONATINA Op 36 No. 1
真係好深... 我真係教佢唔到, 要睇佢自己喇!

He is only 2 years old.. I don't think that he is really. He is a speech delay child, on early intervention. But he really loves music.

He can not recongize A-G, he knows 1-5, and can sit and listen more than 5 minutes. therefore, I believe that it is not time for him yet.

He sat next to Amanda on the same brench, when Amanda practises. He knows that he will use 1 finger to touch 1 key, he doesn't hit the piano like crazy. when he sits at dining table, he will pretend he is playing piano sometimes.
If yes, let Gabriel starts.
If not, you can wait.
yup.. so I will let him wait.. he is too young for it. let him listen to Amanda.. that will be a good beginning for him if he interested in it later on. as we bought the upright piano for Amanda, if Gabriel wants to learn it, they are going to share the piano anyway.

如果ｃｏｒｅｙ唔肯ｓｈａｒｅ　ｒｏｏｍ，咪比佢一個ｒｏｏｍ，可能佢仲有少少爭寵吧，　我而家都好少提話有細佬，　因叻叻覺得有細佬呢好似唔理佢咁，佢會好痴身同摟計．我地提少左，佢又真係好番好多．　所以我地都唔常提，但有時佢會自己提，指住我肚講細佬，　我地先會話係呀．有時小朋友心理好得意．
