Thanks for your tips. We're also planning to go to Tokyo for 6 nights. We will be staying in "Keio Plaza Hotel" in Shinjuku. Is it where you stayed before? Did you mean this "Keio Hotel" is close to Hellokittyland? How far away by Taxi? I'm travelling with 2 kids (2.5y & 6m) so it's better to take a taxi. Do you know how many people a taxi can take? Also, is 台場 close to disneyland? How far away by Taxi?

The Keio Hotel 京王酒店(sorry, I am not sure the spelling in English) which next to Hello Kitty Land is located in Tama (多麼), there are some 京王酒店 which located in Tokyo, the one you mentioned in Shinjuku is not next to Hello Kitty Land. Hello Kitty Land is in Tama (多麼), I believe it is not popular because when I booked the room from my agent, her agent in Japan was very surprised and would like to double confirm with me if I make a wrong hotel booking, I explained to my agent that I would like to stay a hotel which nearby Hello Kitty Land as I am very lazy, I don't want to spend time in travelling and want to sleep more.

For taxi, I did not take taxi from Shinjuku to Hello Kitty Land before, but I believer it would be quite expensive since you know to take taxi in Japan is very expensive in compare with other countries in Asia. I have took taxi from Narita Airport to Tokyo Disneyland's Ambassador Hotel and from Tokyo Disneyland to Shinjuku before. The taxi fare from Narita Airport to Tokyo Disneyland's Ambassador Hotel cost me about HK$1,400.00 (about 1 and half hour which is in Oct 2003). The taxi fare from Tokyo Disneyland to Shinjuku is about HK$1,000.00 (about one hour and it is in 2001). For my trip in this year, I only take one time taxi in Osaka but not Tokyo.

For my trip in this year, I take train from Tokyo Disney Sea Hotel to the Tama Keio Hotel (多麼京王酒店), it tooks me about 2 hours since my husband and myself also needs to bring the luggages, so it took longer time in travelling than normal, normally, it will takes about one and half hour, but if you depart from Shinjuku, I think it will takes one hour travelling by train only, however, if you take by taxi, I have no idea on that. According to the above, I guess one hour taxi it will cost you about HK$1,000.00

Regarding the location of 台場, yes, it is nearby Disneyland, I took train to 台場 and it tooks about 15 minutes from Disneyland to 台場 when I went there in 2002. For details, you can refer to the topic which posted in this discussion forum (please click the link as below:), one of the BK member explained it in very details, since the last time I was in 台場 was in 2002, I think her information is more updated than me.

I think the taxi can take at least 4 people, so if you decide to take the taxi, it should be fine with your family for four peoples.

I fully understood it is more easy for you to take taxi instead of train since you go with a 6 months old baby, will you consider to take the BB車, it is very popular to take the BB車 in Japan.

Thanks so much for the tips! Wow, I can't believe that Taxi is so expensive in Japan. Why did you take taxi from Narita to Disney Ambassador Hotel? I thought there's shuttle bus or limosine bus.

I will choose Shinjuku Keio Hotel because they offer free shuttle bus to Disneyland. I'll spend 3 nights in Keio Hotel and 2 nights in Ambassador Hotel. I'm sure there's bus service from Ambassador Hotel to Narita, right? I just can't take all our lugguage to ride the train. It will be too much for us.

I think we'll be okay to just take the train from Shinjuku to Hellokittyland since we don't have to take the lugguage with us. I'll definitely take our BB stroller with us for my 6 months old daughter but I'm not sure if I should take one for my 2.5 yrs old son....what do you think?

I also won't spend so much time shopping since this trip is for my children. If I only have 1 day for myself...where should I go shop? My hubby has a friend in Tokyo who will spend a day with them so I have one free day to myself.

Yes, the taxi fare in Japan is very expensive, because of the the government policy, you know there are a lot of different train companies in Japan, in order to let them survial, the government set the taxi fare to a very expensive rate (this is what I learned from my Japanese friend). The reason why I took taxi from the airport because I was miss the limousince bus, if I did not took taxi, I have to wait for one hour or take the train to Tokyo Disneyland but I need to transit in Tokyo station, I felt it is too trouble for me and my husband to took the luggages and look after my daughter, so we took the taxi.

I learned from the BK member in this discussion forum that the Keio Hotel in Shinjuku offer "free" shuttle bus to Disneyland and also return bus, so it is convenience and your children can take a rest during travelling.

I don't know which Ambassador Hotel you stay, is it the one in Disneyland Ambassador Hotel, if so, of sure there are limousine buses to Naria Airpot, it takes about one hour only, it is very convenience, you can purchase the ticket in advance from the hotel. For the limousince bus schedule, you can check the website of Disneyland, if you can not find it, please let me know.

If you can manage, I think it is better for you to take the bb stroller with you 2.5 kid, especially when he/she feel tired, he/she take take a rest in the stroller.

It is so great that you have one day free to shop, uou can shopping in the department store nearby Keio Hotel, there are some department stores nearby Keio Hotel. :lol:

我22/9就出發, 到現在都未有行程表, 因係倍老公工幹, 有2,3 日都只係自己1 個人, 再+ 上呢兩日病咗冇心機睇旅遊書, or 係機上再研究去那裡?? 其實我最主要係食嘢 and shopping.

我只有hard copy，可唔可以fax俾你，或者妳方唔方便pm個地址俾我寄俾妳？(我明天放假，要星期五先至可以fax俾你)我無係supermarket買草餅，我通常係機場買，因為免稅，我影印o左有沙糖味牛油、紅豆軟糖和蓄薯乾。
