Firewall is a real problem. So company can let u pass through but some can't, depending on the firewall rules.
If your camera allow you to change the tcp port number, try to use 80 or any port no. higher than 1025 to retest again.
If u still failed, remote PC control software, like PCanywhere may help u. It can setup by using HTTP port 80. This port 80 can sure pass through your firewall.
I've just checked that the cost of Panasonic IP cam is about $2,000 + software (transfer JPEG format to motion) is about $2,400 + service charge of installing the cam. However, they are not guaranteed that I can access to it via company's PC as it has fire wall.
Please tell me how I can solve the firewall problem. Mtime, do you think this is too expensive for whole installation?
