can you tell me how many weeks are you in now? I also bought the Babyplus but found it too loud (even i cant stand the noise) so i stop using it.
I think you have sufficiently put out your words to all moms-to-be and advise that you should stop or else they will start to think you are the "advertiser".
Everything that Gillian posted here is great and it has been proven that pre-natal environment does have irreversible effects on the baby.
We would only add that music is always good to sooth the mother's mood but unless it gets to around 110dB, it will not be heard by the baby. All sounds outside the womb will be muffled by the layers of skin and fluids inside.
Recent studies using brain scanning as a tool have proven that a child as young as four months old developed a perception and anticipation of time. This was said to be based on the baby's experience of the sound of the heartbeat whilst still in mother's womb.
These studies confirmed that the learning starts in the womb and that pre-natal experience does have an effect on the later stage development of a child.
Will keep all mothers updated on issues relating to early education and training on "giftedness".
There is a free seminar on pre-natal education on the evening of 25th February 2005 at Causeway Bay. Those interested could contact Ms. Jennifer Ngan on 29702382 to reserve their seats.
