Parents send their children to school to learn, not to protest. If the student disobey the law, the principal should stand firm and punish that student. It is the school’s duty to set good example to students. To teach them to be a good citizen. Not to set fire everywhere and attack people who don’t share their views. So the principal shall protect the student who committed illegal act?
What a joke. The more important duty for principle and teachers is to teach students how to tell right and wrong. I don’t think protecting students blindly is what a principle should do. Otherwise, no jail is needed, no police is needed, no law is needed.
Joke? CY Leung is making hate speech on Facebook and this time he has targeted a young person who is just of age. Surely the school has responsibility to inculcate correct values in their students. That said, when serious incidents such as this happen, the first priority should always be the safety of their students. The student deserves humanitarian treatment regardless of his suspected crime. CY Leung is condemning the HKPTU for expressing their concern for the student because the student is what he called a rioter. And he’s even suggesting the school should expel the student. The fact that he say and propose such things shows that he’s a bastard.
