Please refer to my reply below.... auto w/b may still give you worng coloured photos in some indoor situation.
Changing w/b is actually very easy for D90.
1. Press and hold the w/b button,
2. Change it till Pre-set, continue hold your w/b button
3. "RE" in your top screen will become flashing.
4. take a picture of "White" colour object under that environment. and see if the flashing "RE" turns to "Good"
5. After it becomes "Good", you can use this W/B under the same environment.
Changing w/b is one of the most important thing for quality photos. Please try to adjust the w/b and not just rely on auto w/b. Do not further side tracked by the different modes/ iso for a correct coloured picture.
Hope it helps.

The solution of yellowish is
1) use pre-set white balance
2) take RAW and adjust white balance when you edit photos
iso may affect (I don't know), but not as key as white balance.

Do you think that under this situation, what is the most important to set the camera
- To set the wb first or
- to adjust down the iso
梗係white balance 喇~
iso 只係次要. 佢唔係影響色溫既重點.
咩mode 都係一樣,
I would at least turn to flash w/b instead of auto.
