My husband is self-employed so he does not have insurance for me.
I have scheduled an appointment for a day 3 Ultra-Sound tomorrow. I decided to give it one more try.
I was taking Clomid (100mg) + IUI last cycle. I'm thinking if I should try injectable (Follitism)+IUI this cycle because I heard injectable can induce more eggs for higher chance to conceive.
Got my ultra-sound today. I will take 5 day Clomid + 3 day injectable. I want to max out my chance with 4 to 5 eggs. Hopefully, this will be last IUI.......
Did you request the injectable or did they suggest you to do so? You sure you want to have 4 or 5 eggs because all of them can be fertilized at the same time since your hubby doesn't have any problem (assuming the sperms are strong).
Anyways, hope this will be our last time.:loveliness:
I had my FET on Monday...I am also on my 2 weeks wait too. This time my 2 embryos both were survived, but both cells were reduced from 6 to 4 and 5 to 4. My hope is getting smaller and smaller.
I'm now on Day 11 post IUI and I can check on Saturday. I have 5 good size eggs this time. However, I don't feel any pregnancy symptom at all. No implementation blood, no tender breast, BBT is low....... I'm really afraid that my 2nd IUI will be fail again.....
I'm feeling very despair....... I'm 27 and my hubby's sperm is healthy and I have done surgery to fix the endo and polyps already, but still cannot get pregnant through IUI. Don't know what to do next..... my hubby always says that he is okay without kids but I know he is disappointed...
I'm sorry to hear that...... I think I will not bingo this time.... I already feel the "m" pain and my bbt is dropping... I think my period is coming tomorrow.
I have discussed with my husband and we decided not to try the IUI again. I will take a break from all the fertility drug for couple months and plan to do the IVF early next year.
My period came yesterday la..... 2nd IUI is officially failed... so down!!!!
I have spoke to my doctor and of course she suggested me to try one more time, but my husband and I decided not to do it because we know it will not work and don't want to waste money on IUI anymore.
I will plan to do IVF after taking a break from the fertility drug for couple months.
Would you mind sharing which doctor did you see for your successful IVF?
I have read Dr. Purcell's bio on FPNC's web. She seems very qualified. From you experience, is she responsive and patient to your questions? and did she give you clear explanation on all the procedures?
The things that I don't like about my current doctor at PAMF is that she doesn't give me enough explanation and patience. I asked her a lot of questions but she either give vague answers or rushing to end the session.
I can't tell if she is responsive or patient to my questions...as we hardly ask any question. But I remember when we did our consultation with her, she was very detail. Although she is quite busy and rushing to end the session, but she would make sure you have no question before she leaves the room. When I did my IVF, she did the ultrasound(u/s) for me for most of my appointments. Sometimes if she was extremely busy, there would be another dr. to do the u/s for me. But she wasn't the one who did the ER and ET for me though. I was done by 2 other dr. within the FPNC. I didn't know why?! Maybe she only see the patience while the others are the ER and ET dr???
I have got a job starting next year and I have checked the insurance which is United Health Care PPO but unfortunately it doesn't cover fertility treatment (IUI and IVF) :<
You have mentioned that you used United Health Care HMO at FPNC. Did you pay the $9000 out of pocket or it was covered by your insurance?
