Just want to share my working experience overseas where低工資 is applied. I used to earn around HK$8000 per month (minimum工資 by law), whatever job u do, including sales,waitress,engineer,teacher, nurse...etc, people earn only minimum工資, and employers should raise salary at least HK$400 for staff would continuously work for them for 4 years, my colleague has worked for his boss for 4 years, his boss really gave her only HK$400 extra per month. So, minimum 工資 only gives employers to save $$ legally & encourages youth not to study.
