Althought I have no financial problem, I cannot give the best thing to my BB if I have 2. If I have one BB only, I can let him to learn piano, drawing, Judo..... one teacher for Mardarine, one teacher for English.... Even now, I give him Meiji milk powder. It is quite expensive but it provide many DHA. But when I have 2, maybe BBs can only learn one thing each. No new toys. No playgroup. All of my whole family's living standard has to be reduced. :cry: :cry:

Hi,
I understand what you mean by 'being not able to give the best things to your current baby'. However think deeply, do you think your baby will be happy learning 7 things a week without a playmate, who by chance now is so close to her age? Frankly I don't support parents pushing their children with many classes, tutors....are you concerned with your child's own feeling?
About the Meiji milk powder, this is expensive, but do you think it's the best, for sure this will make your baby smarter? I really doubt. Money is not everything. Hope you don't mind what I say.

I understand what you mean. I know money is not everything. Meiji may not be the best. I just want to express that Meiji MAYBE make BB smarter. Even it is expensive, I can still have surplus money to buy this MAYBE. I ask fortune teller to name my BB. It may not help BB's future, but I have surplus money to buy this MAYBE. But when I have two, I need to think twice everytime when I spend money.

Above is also not the point. The point is time & effort. Can I have enough time and effort to satisfiy 2 BBs. If I cannot do so, then 2 BBs cannot be well taken care. But for one BB only. I sure I can have enought time & effort to him. The point is that "one BB feel satisfied OR two feel unsatisfied"

For now, my & my husband's parant cannot help us. Our new maid is coming on May. Even for myself, I have no confident to take care 2 BBs alone, so I don't think the maid can. Also, we are not rich, we cannot afford 2 maids or I quit the job.

Yet the thing is, you have already made this life and it's now living inside you, you might want to look at things in a different way. It's a BABY!!
If you haven't yet conceived, all your reasons are valid and good to support your thinking but now it's a total different story.

Let me tell you my story. I have a 3 year old daughter. In the past few years, I had the same struggle as you, thinking about finanicials, time , effort contributed to bring her up , and like you ,both my husband and I feel that we should give the best to the baby , and at the same time we could still choose to live very nicely cos we only need to afford one child.
As my daughter grows older, I feel that she's very lonely and both my husband and myself suddenly changed the whole thinking, we want to give her a brother/sister. We agreed that we cut back on our 'nice living style' - shop less, dont go out for dinner as often.....then I got pregnant in Dec 04. However, very unfortunatelyl, I miscarriaged in Feb 05. I regret why I did not make up my mind a year or two earlier cos I would have been earlier by then.

That's why I think you should keep your baby. I know you are 36 years old, if a few years later, you want to get preg again, you will be approaching 40 and you won't know what will happen.

Think twice!! Tell you, I was like you before and I was telling everything I was not going to have a 2nd one, well I changed my mind and it ended up like this. I won't give up and I am going to try again.

Thank you for your experience & story. I will think twice. But it is still a hard decision.!!!!!!!! I need to give up a lot. I cannot imagine how my life would be with 2 BBs. Thank you again!!!!

Actually the decision is not as hard. If you haven't conceived yet, the decision is hard but God has made the decision for you now, so you really don't need to think.

If I concieved accidentally in the past few years when I was still struggling, I for sure will keep it and I would be very happy as there is no need for me to go thru the struggling, thinking anymore. God has decided for me.

[size=medium]agree! i found that i was pregnant when my first kid was 4 mths old. now my girl is 3 yrs old and my boy is 1 yr and 9 mths old. they are two adorable lovely little kids and i'm very happy to have them. are u a full time mom? you may consider hiring a maid too!

[size=large]JarJarBin, hey, breastmilk is the best and it's definitely far better than Meiji. Also it's FREE and a Godsent! If you really decide to have a 2nd bb, you may consider breastfeeding your bb.

Being a mother, you always want to give the best to your baby. But do you know what is the best to him/her? It may not be putting them to many interest groups, not to force them to learn more then they can, not to feed them with the so-called the best food -- but to experience their lives!! You can never imagine how much they gain from sharing a toy with his/her borther/sister, you never how treasure they will be to share time with parents and brother/sister in doing some simple housework!! You cannot expect how much more they learn from each other instead of being a single child!! They may learn their lives in a completely different way -- different then what you might expect them.... Life is not that complicated, the best things might come from some simple life!
It's not easy to take two kids, but is also not easy to have such luck!
Imagine, a little life inside your belly is asking for his/her right to come to the world and share all the happiness / sarrow with you and your family, no one else in the world can be sooooo close to you!!! Think carefully, from the view of your little kid, not from your own perspective!
