It really is a blessing that your daughter got 29 lbs. You know what, my daughter loves to eat; but she only got 28 lbs for 2.6 year old. :lol:
One more suggestion, I know many kids loves to eat 燕窩 whereas including my daughter. It is because it feels like jello somehow. Have you tried this on your daughter? It has plenty of protein and it can stimulate the kids appetite.
About the bird nest, I started feeding my daugher once she is around 2 years old. Everyday one soup spoon and I guess it is good in certain extent because it has rich of protein.
Besides, do you mind telling why your son is seeing Dr. Chau? Keep him in my prayers.

He is quite good I think. Our son was never sick since birth until he started nursery in January so we don't have much experience. But Dr. Chau seems to be quite good with his diagnosis.
Appetite really varies from different kids. My older daughter did not eat and drink before she started school. My younger daughter loves eating. She is like a goldfish, whenever and whatever you give her and she takes it all!!
I tried one Vatamin with lysine (not sure about the spelling) before to my older daughter. And also you may try to give her fish liver oil, the one with orange is much easy for them to start with. You may also try her some chinese tea.
When my older daughter was young, I also tried her with congee added some blended powder of "Y San" and Chi Sut". You blended it and add it over congee so it is easy to swallow.

In a different point of view, it is also good to have one more kid to accompany your daughter. Put it this way, when she sees the new baby drink milk, she might want to drink too! This is the peer "preasure" ma..., it works in many cases. Kids are easily influenced by the other kids and they are a copy machine somehow.
Also, when one day we get old, it is good that your daughter has a sister or brother to accompany her.
I see you are so worry about your daughter and this in fact is an expression of love and being 偉大.
I am not sure if you read my idea or not. But just want to tell you again the Vatamin with Lysine is like candy. Lysine is added to make better appetite of the kids. As it is fruit favoured, kids love it!
