傢俱唔好丟，盡帶。呢度貴好多，送貨費好貴，要澳幣50-90。租屋多數係吉屋，九成九擺得落。
電器，香港的好。好多屋用平面電爐，買定個平底大獲唔會錯。呢度多煎獲，大獲少。澳洲自己煮飯多，啱自己用的最好帶哂來。

Would like to know if the telephone set in HK is suitable to use in HK? Would you recommend to bring to Australia as well?

我用緊香港帶過來的家居電話, 係睇唔到來電顯示, 聽電話和打出就無問題. 不過, 我係用開繼續用果種, 唔係特登買個帶來澳洲的.

我想問一般運費點計呢?
因我家中的傢俬都唔係貴野, ikea貨, 但我有機會住的地方係無IKEA....最多係小朋友既玩具, 衫褲都埋老公既書.... 想計下要預幾多錢relocation..... pls help

did you check you have paid for caller ID services?

HK phone to here should be be a problem. Some house still using very old type Aussie phone jack where you need to buy a adaptor from those "dollar shop". Or you can wait until you apply broadband services, in the ADSL modem package it may include that adaptor too.

剛巧我現在search緊移民搬屋的資料，可以分享下：

我之前已打去問過差不多廿間搬運公司，佢地通常以每cutie feet/ cutie meter做收費單位，另外再加文件費、清關費、消毒費同保險費。通常每cutie feet 約$65-90，最少運150-200 cutie feets，即約25個蘋果箱的size，計埋其他雜費，即總數由$12000-17000倒，平均每箱要$400-600左右。另外，你亦可考慮Hong Kong Post，佢地寄一個箱，約$380有交易。

但講真，一個3-4人家庭，又點只用25個箱？淨係一個kitchen，我都用7-8個箱。但基於運費也不便宜，每箱最平都要$400幾，由今天起我再不買多餘野，加上我全家大部份都係ikea家俬，我不會俾幾千蚊運ikea貨，去到都唔知裝唔裝得返，我只會帶重要的跟身物品，其他野去到澳洲再買。

PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

I chose Baltran bcoz I read the same forum the one you mentioned.

It turned out, the service is extremely bad.

I reside in Sydney but they sent my stuff to Melbourne.

They counter company is even worse as they commited the date to deliver but they were no show, two times.

I emailed to HK and Melbourne office to complain and there's noone reply me.

It's a very bad experience to me.

I am less unfortunate than you.
I used Asian Tiger, also recommended by friends. Everything was fine until they reassembled our bed and found that they had left the screws in HK!
When we called the agent in HK, he told us to buy the screws and fix the bed ourselves!!! He said if we wanted to claim, we had to wait for people from their company in Australia to come and inspect!
At the end, we fixed the bed ourselves, because we didn't want to sleep on the floor.

i used reloasia for a full 20ft container (1050 cu ft) and the cost was HKD43,000 (excluding insurance). the service is reasonable, but there is a slight delay with the ship (it is not their fault anyway). I took some ikea furniture from HK to aust too, they did not disassemable the furniture and thus I can still reassembel all the furniture here. if you like cooking, you may consider to but more gears (like blender, mixer, food processor,etc coz my wife took alot here). We had a lot of books (around 50 boxes) and I also took some tools (elec drill, grinder, jigsaw) here.
