Keep it up. I am a working mother and I will have my third baby coming in June. Is not easy to be a mother. I keep on learing for 10 years. All kid are independent, they are not your toy. They have their own thinking/ reaction/ attitude. (Don't try to control them). Be their friends and listen to them, share with them your difficulties. They will share with me about friends and school and I will share with them about works.
After I changed for more then a year. They said I am the BEST MOTHER in the word and make me a REWARD card.
Also they tell lie was because they don't want to disappoint you. Try to understand why they are telling lies.
And think if you were them, what are you going to do etc...
