diff to say, each district have one or 2 good school, so difficult to say. most chinese now like to stay in markham and go to the PET (Peirre Elliott something something - sorry i forgot) for the high school. but some others found too many chinese there and want to live in vaugh area..
guess you will need to come over at least once to see which location you want to live, and what is the school in those area and the neighbourhood (if you like or nor)
i lived in markham and i have no kids. but depends on what u prefered.
my girlfirend prefer to live in mississauga - as peel school board is o.k., with most school with better facilities (as they are the new development). she prefer to live there so that both her kids could mingle with the mainstream instead of such chinese. and she thought this will help them to go into the really canadian society (instead of the HK immigrant group)

each school get their pro and con, and it all depends on the teacher/parents and the kids. so hard to say.
my girl friend's kids study in the in Erindale Secondary School
and they gain over 90 on the average .. the elder girl will be studies in Queen's univeristy in the coming setp.
however, if u are just like me. have to have chinese all along/around. then i won't choose mississauga, as can't find a good chinese restuarant for dim sum, no good hk style milk tea, no big chinese supermarket for chinese thing. and most of your neighbours are non-chinese.
that's why, all my 66's family side live in west end while we are the only one in makrham.
this is your choice and your call... people can't help you to make decision.
以我所知，一個區應該有2間，一間係catholic school另外一間係public school，咁要睇番你仔女係唔係catholic黎揀，通常好少會有多過兩間，unless你個條街arm arm係個兩區之間既border就可能有得揀。其實當你買屋時，你可以打去school board到問清楚，例如你買mississauga既，就可以call peel region school board (public school)同 dufferin peel catholic school board到check，如markham既，應該call york region school board...
