I don't think you have to " apply" for platinum card... all you have to do is to spend a certain amount during a year ( or more years??) and they'll upgrade you to Platinum card... as to how much you have to spend?? I'm so sorry... I really forgot the requirement.... ( plus, I really don't want to remember as my husband will be so shocked ! hahhhahahah)
I think the difference with a regular gold and platinum card is only the parking privilage and you can enter the VIP room at IFC for free snack and drinks!
