in fact, after viewing some other info, I discovered the cost of good quality billingual school-fee are much higher than those in HK. Anyway, I'll set the budget of RMB30,000 to RMB40,000 one year and it must be billingual, any good recommendations on this brief.
I discussed with my hubby already and we might do a weekend visit to BJ to have a look on some potential pre-school and interview some potential ayi. We had friends there and we can ask them for help and also stay in their place.
Not yet decide where to live in the long-run, all depends on where is our offices and my girls' school la.
Anyway, if we really go to have a recent visit, I'll brief my agency (in fact, she's my friend) to let me have a look on some good estates to have a total picture.

I forgot the name of agency, but it doesn't matter. Since Nancy is very reliable, both my hubby and myself and some of my friends are clients of her. She know the quality of HK people looking for, but you must brief her:
1. location of your hubby's office
2. how big of the flat or how many rooms you're looking for
3. you need it to be near to park? school? clubhouse? MTR?supermarket?
4. budget?
5. furnished? most HK people will rent those flat furnished
6. must ask the rent to include everything, that means the central heater fee
7. let me remind you that only the houseowner need to pay agency fee, you don't need to pay, this is different from HK
8. include satelite fee to watch some paid TV channels?
remember the Telford nursery (Bj branch) I mentioned before, I've called them and the BJ lady who picked up the phone sounds very nice. Of course la, they charge a very high rate compare with other local kindergarten la. However, their board and committee involved HK persons and some of the parents are from HK. let me share with you since our kids are at simliar age (my girl is 1 yr 4 months now)

1 native English teacher + 2 native PTG assistant teacher + 2 helpers in the class in AM session

they lady is very nice and said we can go there to visit and let our kids to try for one day freely, hahaha,...
let me remind you they say above cost is for residents in the estate, if outsiders might need to pay more, or we can further talk with their principal who is a HK lady.
you can call them to have a look in the kindergarten since I know they are new but already have 7 classes (2 of them are N1, but only 10 students in 1 class), should be very good attendtion to the kids.
But for your case, you might only need playgroup or halfday, isn't it? since you don't need to work ma.

I think RMB4XXXX is expensive too but it's OK la. You are right , because i don't need to work, so i prefer to find a half day class or just until 3:00PM.

yes, but in fact, all things for Hk quality will cost about HK rate, so if you think for a full-day billingual nursery in HK is about that much la., at least it's more quality ganrantee, but I'll never believe it till really participant in it. In HK, we can have more choices, billingual or local HK kindergarten, but in BJ, no other choices, billingual or international that even more expensive la.
學繁體字, I think it can be achieved by sharing with the kid some HK verson story book, no worries la, I heard from some friends that simplified chinese words can be authorised in public exams in HK very soon, I don't worry about that part. in fact, I would not be comfortable if our next genration doesn't know simplified words.
no worries, if I really move to BJ, we can definitely make friends, in fact, I've quite a lot of Hk friends there, we can hang out, go hiking or dine-out or have dinner in our place during weekend, I like the BJ living.
In fact, I decided not bringing my indo maid if I move after a discussion with my travel agency. No way to get a 1-yr travel visa for my maid. another headache is can I get a reliable local maid???? Since I need to work and in fact I might need to travel frequently within China, I must get a reliable maid to take care my girl after school and live with us, I'm so scared if she's not reliable enough.

WIll your company offer you any housing and study allowance? My husband's company only office housing (not really enough for whole family!!)
About the maid , i think you can find one who worked with oversea people before. And i know some agency train them to be a professional maid. And even you can change within one month if she is not suitable to your family. try this

in fact, the offer from BJ still under negotiation and I'm also considering another offer in HK. So, not yet confirmed to move to BJ.
however, for you info, this is normal for only have the housing allowance (but not study allowance for kids) when relocate to China.
In fact, I prefer the company pay me a big lupsum instead of any allowance so that I have the freedom to manage the budget for my kid's education and the quality of apertment la.
