I failed ogtt in Tsan Yuk hospital last month. I needed to see the dietitian. Her instruction was quite strict. I was very upset when I knew that I can only eat so little portion of food in my remaining pregnancy. In the first few days of following the diet plan, I was extremely hungry and felt a bit fainted. However, after a week or so, my body started to get used to the new diet and I don't feel hungry anymore. Besides, I didn't gain any weight but BB is growing and the size is normal.
After seeing the dietitian, I needed to spend a whole day in their day center. The hospital provided lunch and dinner for me. During that day, I had blood test after each meal. I have passed the blood tests, so I just need to follow the diet plan until BB is born.
My private doctor agreed that I should follow the diet plan. She said BB will be perfectly okay even I eat less than before. Now I am in week 33 and gain 22 pounds.
Don't worry. You and your BB will be fine. If you are really hungry, I suggest you eat a bit more of meat for your lunch and dinner but don't eat too much rice.
