I have booked next Monday morning to have CVS done in PWH. Actually, I am still wondering whether I should go. All my family told me not to go, it is risky to have CVS. They said no one in our families have problem before. Even the sister-in-law delivered her baby on her 38 and refused dothing any tests, the baby came out very normal.
I still don't prepare to whatever the result will come out. If the baby is fine, but the CVS induce miscarriage... Can I afford it?? Or if the result is positive, Abortion...It is the biggest moral question... I don't want to be a killer....
I still have three days left to make my decision???
I experienced the same during my last pregnancy. The neck skin check looked normal but the blood test showed that there would be a higher ratio (1:27) of having Down's. I was advised to take the ( I don't remember the name) But I vividly remember that there was a big syringe ( a big needle) injected to my tummy and some of the embroyic fluid was taken out. I was warned to have 1% having miscarriage taking this test but if I didn't do it I might have worried for the rest of my pregnancy. It was a happy ending though and my boy is now 15 months old and he is perfectly ok. If I were you I would make sure that the baby to be born is normal. You are now just suffer for a while but if he is a Down's baby, he will suffer for whole life.
Take good care of yourself!!
All the best wishes!
